Alright, so I noticed that the color scheme on Fierce Deity Link's sword is really similar to the horns on Majora's Mask. I was thinking that maybe they were made out of the same material and I came up with this theory. Let me know what you think of it:
Majora and Fierce Deity definitely have some connection. The moon children maybe were sort of protecting the moon, considering they're ignoring the child with Majora's Mask and also give you the Fierce Deity mask to defeat him. It's like they're keeping away from him but giving someone with the power to defeat him an even greater power. This whole scene would be through Majora's eyes (where everything is just a game,) considering he's taken over the moon. I see Fierce Deity as a sort of guardian of the moon. His mask is given to you when Majora enters the moon, and he has a crescent moon on one of his breastplates. He also has what looks like a piece of the triforce on his other breastplate, not to mention his name has "deity" in it, so he must be some kind of minor god. But something that really catches my attention is the similarity between Fierce Deity and the Dark Interlopers as seen in Twilight Princess. He looks just like an interloper but with tattoos (that could be Twili markings) It was confirmed that the Dark Interlopers/Twili made Majora's Mask. So my theory is that the Fierce Deity made Majora's Mask. Maybe the spikes were meant to be Majora's only weapons considering they seem to be made out of the same material as his sword. Then maybe something went wrong and Majora trapped him in a mask and took some power.
