I preferred parrying and picking up your opponents' weapons.

re: General Off-Topic Discussion III: No More Spam!

Hmm it's a tough choice, I'd have to go with TP but only by a very slim margin. There's just a few small things that tip it over for me. The spinner is awesome (though virtually useless) and Stallord and Argorok were 2 of my favorite bosses ever. Also I really liked the skills and having a transformation is always nice. Nonetheless I agree that it's sidequests failed hard, they were virtually non-existant, and figurines are awesome I'm a collector by nature so I loved those things

re: General Off-Topic Discussion III: No More Spam!

I guess it's all a matter of opinion but I didn't really like TP, maybe the series is getting old for me now but that's impossible I enjoyed Phantom Hourglass start to end and occaisionally still play it online.

I have this wierd feeling that TP Link is going to be used to death this generation, hopefully Zelda Wii has its own graphic style.

Who here thinks that a remake of the original Zelda, complete with its own new items and towns should be released, it would clear up alot of the timeline, as Ganondorf apparently died there and did the same thing in Twilight Princess, so one of those games was followed by the Oracle games (possibly with the original FS game in between) maybe even with the same Link, however I'm certain that Twilight Princess will have a direct sequal, hopefully explaining Ganondorf's death.

I'm not sure about it clearing up the timeline since I've never played it but I do like the idea

re: General Off-Topic Discussion III: No More Spam!

Oh, right, you don't play handheld...

In the Oracle series Kotake and Koume (simply refering to themselves as Twinrova) spend the entire game trying to revive Ganon, but only by linking the games can you see this happen, they created Onox and the uh, magic girl, to attack Holondrum and Labrynna, respectively, when Link beats one it shows Twinrova and a blue or red flame, either side of a tomb-like object, when you link the games Ganon returns as the two flames were supposed to be terror and Chaos which somehow when utilized like that could resurrect Ganon.

In the original ganondorf dies, then in the sequal Ganondorf's minions hear that by spilling Link's blood on his grave that he'll be ressurected, however he isn't as Link couldn't be killed.

Now the argument splits.

Evidence that Oracles follow LoZ/AoL:
Link has the yellow ring around his hat
Twinrova, were somewhat referenced in AoL (I think they told the minions of the blood thing)
Twinrova didn't appear in TP
Ganon was in his beast form

Evidence that Oracles follows TP:
Link rides Epona at the start and she only appears in four games (OoT, MM, TP and to a lesser extent 4SA)
Impa had to introduce herself to Link
Ganondorf returned, hard to explain but since TP is first thing in the young timeline (it was confirmed that TP wasn't actually before WW, plus nothing could come between OoT adult and WW, as Link, confirmed by Red Lions, isn't a decendent of the hero) he must survive for the rest of the series.

Also I'd bet anything that Link's awakening comes right after the Oracle series, it fits perfectly.

Sorry for the long story that really would fit better in its actual discussion but... Meh!

I think that this video has a pretty good explenation of the timeline. (Be awarre, though, this video was made BEFORE Twilight Princess was released, so it might be in the wrong place.)

seen it, very faulty, especially the OoS/A bit, they obviously come one after the other, the order determined by whichever code you used.

Hey, Murray! 'Magic lady' is called Veran. Her final form wasn't half as awesome as Onox's. What sucks for me is that I didn't play ages until last year. I had to borrow a glitched version from a friend.
Who's your ultimate favorite boss, any boss, ever?

re: General Off-Topic Discussion III: No More Spam!

true, let's just agree to disagree, at least Gangey agrees with me

is Neoseeker acting oddly for anyone else? my prefs option is now PM's, and I have to write in the subject!

Favourite Zelda boss: Hmm, I'd have to go with 'that boss rom oracle of ages that was pretty easy to kill, J/K, probably Dark Link or any of the bosses in 4S, multiplayer bosses are so fun!

PS. Does anyone use ventrillo or any of those other microphone chat-boards?

re: General Off-Topic Discussion III: No More Spam!

That's it, I knew something was different but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

As for my fave boss I'd have to go with my previously mentioned Stallord and Argorok, however if you mean out of any game and not just Zelda then I'd have to think about it abit more

And no, I can't say I do
