re: GD II: home of the yeast dragon!

if Global Studies is aything like (or the same thing) as Global Learning than you're the most patient person I know, I find the whole subject so tedius, task analysis this, search strategy that, notes, organised notes, at least History and Science's hypothesis's make sence and are useful, heck even spell checking can be a great help but enough about my compaining, I think I got a D+ for it, the only subject I also don't do well in is history but that's a different story.

So what does everyone plan to do in the future? I was planning to get into TOSE studios, if you don't know what TOSE is it's a company that is known for not taking credit for their work and often hier people fresh out of school who are ready and willing to make new games and even play around with first party characters (like Super Princess Peach one of few games that actually did give credit) that the actual companies don't know how to use or want to try something different with, then when I'm finished with TOSE I'll apply for a job at Nintendo, several times, I have several ideas that would be great additions to great series, an RTS Zelda, a 3-D Kirby, a Pay to Play Animal Crossing MMO, no less than five new balanced Smash Bros characters, heck even a multiplayer Metroid game that still includes loads of adventuring under a time-limit.

Wow, that sounds kickass. I still haven't decided whether or not to pursue Video Game design or not. I may just make my own games in my spare time. Who knows?

re: GD II: home of the yeast dragon!

I honestly don't have the slightest clue what i want to do with the future. Really I'm not particularly talented at anything and my only interests are reading and video games, though I can't write very well and I'm not sure how I'd go at designing video games. My grades are above average in everything but none of them are outstanding. Really there is no thing that jumps out as me as something I would like or that I would do really well as. I guess I'll just see what happens

Can't write very well? Pfft, your writing skill is as good as mine only different, speaking of writing, what does everyone think is their best trait in writing the story, mine would be memory and quick thinking, along with the fact I've got lots of free-time.

I'm writing a 30-page story of SSBM for my free-time. Anyone else working on some sort of story?

Old video.

My best trait in thinking up plots for the story in my wide range of knowledge of games. (Most of my plots are game based, except a few)

Yup! I'm writing a few poems, and a book at the moment.
i might post my story here somewhere.
or a link to a shop where you can buy a copy of the book.
maybe a poem then.
I NEED CRITICISM!!!

*ahem* here goes:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
I feel so bad,
Cause I can't be with you.

You left me hurt,
You left me sad.
I try so hard,
Try not to be mad.

You left me here,
You left with that other guy.
Now I'm alone here,
Wishing I had said goodbye.

You called me weak,
You called me worse.
And now you're gone,
Leaving in a hearse.

And nobody knows,
It was by my hand.
By my hand,
That you met your end.

I'd like to make video games, anime, write books, or, if ever humanly possible, make a movie/show out of NEMM.

re: GD II: home of the yeast dragon!

That was actually really good, dadark. A bit morbid, I guess, but i don't know. I'm no poet, I can tell you that much. Oh and Levers...damn, I cannot recall that for the life of me. Sorry mate.

And Weldar, I second what Murray said. I guess we're alike, you and I, in that we are not the best judges of our own work. I know I'm overly critical of everything I do, and I'm honestly surprised at any and all praise I receive. People are often annoyed at me for that.

Anyway, I'd like to write a story, but I have neither the time nor the inspiration I'd like. I have a few ideas floating around, but nothing substantial. In English class, I just got back a really short story (about 500 words) that got a really good mark on. I don't know. I don't much care for it, but I suppose it isn't bad for a few paragraphs written and edited in the space of about an hour.

dadark that was really good. im not "in" to poetry but that was actually really good.
Weldar and foxy i recon you two are great writers. Your posts in the story are great, Dont Stop!
Murray Likes Sandwhiches!
Last year in year 8 i had to write a short narrative about 500 words... i end up writing a story 13 pages long. my draft was 19 pages long but my teacher told me to cut it down. I wrote it about the nemm, story but i mde it up as i went along so its not that good, it was back when i hardly even understanded the nemm.i got above average year 9 mark for it...and yes i was in year 8 at that time!
