	Flare again? Word of advice - flares rarely work. Occassionally it's possible to incorporate them into a graphic, but usually they look very out of place and serve only to distract. Play it safe and leave them out completely. Also, either centre Dark Link or put something in the bottom-left corner (blended into the background). At the moment too empty. I personally thinking moving Dark Link to the centre would work best here, giving attention to the main focal point. Hmm. Text could be improved. Namely that Triforce font I mentioned. There's not anything wrong how it is; it just could be better. Dark Link is handled well. Background is good. Have you tried bump-mapping the BG and using the BG layer as the base?

I'm not as good as GIMP as you are (like that's possible) But what can I put in the bottom-left? Lord Zere? This is your stamp, so you tell me what you'd like down there in the corner. EDIT: Should I change the shield to a different colour? I don't think Dark Link has that kind of shield, does he?

	Bump Map is one of the many filters included in GIMP. Make the background the active layer. Now Filters > Map > Bump Map. In the drop-down box select the background layer, then adjust the sliders until the preview looks good. If it doesn't look good just cancel it.

	It's very simple, only a few steps. You don't need screens. Here: 1) First set the foreground colour in the main toolbox. This will be the text colour (you probably already know this bit). 2) Go to Filters > Text > Freetype. Select your font, type in the text and set the options to your preference. Confirm it to create a new layer containing your text. 3) Now the bit you want. Make sure the text is still the active layer. Go to Layers > Transform. On this submenu are options for rotating. Select the rotate option to suit, then simply move the text into position.

	Awesome. Thanks for your help, Insanity. But I do have one more question. How do you make a layer fade into the background? I'm making a banner for myself, and I want to fade Samus Aran into the background, but I don't know how. Help please.

	Lower the opacity of the layer Samus is on. The opacity slider is on the layers dialogue, above the layer list window. You can also put in a number in the box on the right for an exact opacity value (between 0 and 100, 0 being invisible layer, 100 being fully solid).
