What is it with you and always getting captured by women and being helpless whilst they hold total control?

Naturally OoT's cutscenes are graphically inferior to modern games. You wont get the "wow" factor from them now after seeing like Bioshock's opening - which is one of my favorites.
I'd say though, the mystery and emotion in some of them hold up nicely to today's standards.

Speaking of cutscenes, what games do you think have the best? Onimusha consistently puts out really incredible ones and I'd say that series easily takes the cake. Still, the Zelda series has always been strong in that department too.

I think Goldeneye's were a bit more smooth. That was a different kind of game though.

I suppose I had a feeling all along, but I didnt know until today that Harvest Moon had such a strong cult following. They have like 30 forums in the top 200. Tip of the hat.

Anyway, Zelda's cutscenes are much better engineered than Goldeneye's. When I say that, I mean character movements, expressions, etc. Golden Eye has none of that stuff. I just think its in-game play is clearer.

I think where it says the rank in Stats is delayed, cause when you view the actual list of 200, its much higher.
Or, maybe it dropped because this forum gets quiet at night.

Mine looks all right. But mine's not HD or anything.

And at other forums. Mario Kart DS, RPG Maker XP, and the Pokemon games, mostly.

I've seen some mods of OoT that are absolutely amazing. Basically what they did is revamped it to have graphics from TP. It dropped my jaw.
It was sort of slow though.

Stone age? I think OoT is blissfully free of flamers and their like. I remember coming here a while ago and thinking it had pretty much gone to the dogs, with mostly ridiculous trolling running rampant.
They're gone though so right now its very much to my liking. MM's too, good discussions there.
As a matter of fact, WW's forum has had a bit of trouble with that as of recent.

To OoT's credit, its cutscenes are a lot better than TP's. Those didnt have the same detail in them, and seemed beautiful but with very little going on inside their collective head.

Bah! As much as anybody, I loved the classics. But when FireRed/LeafGreen came out, the game was literally the same but with updates that really improved the gameplay. I had no complaints.

So, I feel safe assuming these will turn out great too. Although I've heard the move mechanics will be different, but its been so long since I played the old ones (they ALL fried from a virus) that I'm ready to accept little things like that.
I haven't played any Poke games for the DS so I dont really understand what the difference will be.

Speaking of the DS, now that I actually have one. Should I look into Spirit Tracks or any other Zelda games? I've heard it was generally rubbish and I always disliked the Gameboy Zelda games but I'm willing to give the new generation another try. Any good cutscenes?

Oh, well I only considered counting the original 150 anyway. I skipped over Ruby and Sapphire when FR/LG came out.
They brought some much needed updates, especially after playing Silver/Gold. The running shoes come to mind first

Eh, I didnt much like the glitches. Missingno was fun at first but overrated. Why do you like cloning so much anyway? Rare candy glitching was fun but ultimately unrewarding.

It had to be a virus, I got it from my gameshark, which has ALWAYS erased games. I busted it out a few years ago for fun, and I forgot its hidden secret. So I lost all my prized lvl 100 pokemon in both my blues, red, gold, silver, and crystal. Each one after the other when I was checking them for damage. Only yellow survived and ironically its the only one I didnt have a deep history with since it was a new file and I only reached Koga.
So, I lost my very first+favorite pokemon, my level 100 Blastoise, my first game, my 150 pokemon file, and my archives of league champ teams from tons of runs in the pc which were all in Blue #1. It was quite tragic for me really. Now they're completely gone and they cant even start without having jumbled letters and freezing after I press anything.
Thats when I read about LG/FR and purchased them. Apparently my unlucky streak continued though since my trading cable cant switch between them. Otherwise I'd have most of the stuff I lost rebuilt by now.

hmm. Lets see what other people say about the DS Zeldas.
