	Yes, there are tons, many of which are crap, some that are great, and some that are just great reads. I would recommend the first series by Terry Brooks - The Sword, Elfstones, and Wishsong of Shannara. These three are easy to read, enjoyable, magical, and obviously deriviative of Tolkien's works. 	Personaly I would recomend R.A. Salvatore's forgoten relms books. Altough each series is only 3 to 5 books long they (meaning the series) all follow the same characters. With the exeption of the Claric Quintet. I you really what to sink your teeth into something massiven then pick up Rogert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. Currently their are 10 books as of yet in the series, each book is around 700 to 1000 pages. It took me just over eight weeks to read it.

	Aside from the previously mentioned Wheel of Time by Jordan, I would also suggest Zelazny's Amber Chronicles, and Moorcock's Elric. Elric can be tough reading at times, so beware. 	There are lots of great fantasy series out there, so I'm sure you'll have your hands full after all the recommendations are done. Personally, I'd recommend -- aside from Robert Jordan's oft-mentioned Wheel of Time -- Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series, David Edding's Belgariad and Malloreon series, C.S. Lewis' Narnia books, or Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels if you like humor.

	There's also Sabriel and its sequels (can't think of the author), and Orson Scott Card's books that are in series, or even is one book fantasies are pretty good. Not all of his stuff is fantasy though, some of its more Sci-fi ------------------- Sign my guestbook

	Some of my favorite fantasy books are in the trilogy Dragon's Milk. They're really great, and keep you on the edge of your seat.

	PEOPLE HELP ME OUTTA HERE WITH THE BOOKS FROM R.A SALVATORE! Please tell me the right order of the books cause I don't understand shit bout it. I come to this pahe where there are seriously over 30 books ( http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=books/fr/novelguide ) that say they are part over the forgotten realms series, or i don't really understand it.. So could someone please explain the right order, and please, i beg, tell me the right order to read the books. And even if there isn't a right order tell me the order in which the books wer written. Not all of his stuff is fantasy though, some of its more Sci-fi The author of those books is Garth Nix, who also wrote The Seveth Tower series. The sequels that I know of are Lirael and Abhorsen. Absolutly great books. Beside the the ones already mentioned I would like suggest the So You Want to Be a Wizard series by Diane Duane (there are 6 books released so far I think), Circle of Magic series by Debra Doyle and James Macdonald (it's got about 7 books, but they're small), and The Deltora Quest series by Emily Rodda (also short books, yet there are 13 in all I believe). By the way everyone, thanks for this, I was running out of reading material.
