	Preteen-teen makes me thing 11-15 year olds. LotR would be tough for most from my experience. Some that might be worth looking at are: My Teacher is an Alien series Harry Potter series Chronicles of Narnis series Oz novels Wonderland novels Amber Chronicles Star Wars Young Jedi Knights series Star Wars novels Short fiction collections are a way to go too. 	The His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman should be placed at the top of your reading list.

	Thanks everyone i'm starting on narnia.. LOTR and hobbit wasn't exactly interesting i'll start on the rest after i finish Narnia Thanks again for the great suggestions!

	Ender's Game , by Orson Scott Card is really good. It might be a bit tough for a younger pre-teen though; but the book is a young adult book I'd say.
