HilaryDuffGta: They're awesome. Almost finished with the third one, The Titan's Curse, right now. They're not long, but they're very entertaining, especially to me, since I've always been fascinated by Greek mythology.

No, there's five. He also has a series about the Egyptian gods, and he's started another series called The Heroes of Olympus, and I think it's supposed to take place sometime after the Percy Jackson series. So if you like Percy Jackson and the Olympians, I would recommend checking those out (even though I haven't read them, but I got the first book in Heroes of Olympus for Christmas).

I read this materpiece when I went school, but I didn't remember too much. So I've decided to revise it!

Recently finished re-reading both The Icarus Hunt by Timothy Zahn and The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown. Unfortunately, I've read just about everything I have to death, and there's no bookstore anywhere near me.

Just got a Nook and I'm currently reading The Hunger Games. Only four chapters in, but I'm liking it so far.

I'm only about half way through but it's good so far, creepy without being needlessly gory. He's got a new coming out in April (in the UK at least) called 'The Company Man' and I will definitely be ordering it.

The Jungle was an absolutely crazy book. It's quite a journey, both in the context of the story and emotionally. It's very depressing, it really shows how horrible it would have been to work in a meat-packing factory back around the turn of the 20th century. Workers had no rights whatsoever. The work was dangerous, and if they got hurt they were shit out of luck and their children would just have to starve to death. It's crazy how little has changed in some aspects though, mostly in regards to political discourse and what people had to say about corporations and commercialism. It's oddly topical for a book that's over 100 years old. It's really good though, the very end gets a bit preachy on the merits of Socialism, but coming from the point of view of the rest of the book it's no wonder.

I'm reading some Dickens next, wish me luck. Lol. Just started Hard Times. I guess I wanted to keep with the theme of the last book.
