How do you use the Chrono Chross?

I'm not sure if i remember but i think you have to use the elements in a certain order and then use Chrono Cross and something happens. I never tried it because the Time Devourer always uses something else which messes up everything.

I don remember the exact order, but I do remember the last 3: white, black, CC (or was it black, white, CC...?)

Okay, here's what I wrote in the Cheats section precisely:

For the final boss fight (the REAL final boss fight) you can use the Chrono Cross element to kill him! But to do that, you'll need to put other elements in a certian order!

First, build up your character's element level to 8, then defend until the boss casts a yellow element! reply with a Red element, then unless he casts a green element, you must cast a green element, followed by blue, then black, then white.

Make sure ALL these elements are cast from the level one and 2 of your element grid! Build Serge back up to level 8, and cast the Chrono Cross quickly after and you should get to see a very good ending to the game! Good luck!

The ending is extremely good, it's easily worth the work. If you mess up too many times, start the fight over, and adjust your strategy, believe me, it REALLY IS WORTH IT.

I also have my easy way of casting Chrono Cross

1. Pick up 2 characters with at least high stamina recovery.

2. Remember the patern to the Chrono Cross (yellow, red, green, blue, black, white, then Chrono Cross)

3. Equip lv.1 elements to the 2 characters you are bringing with the final boss, BUT! make sure you follow the Chrono Cross Pattern.

4. So the result should be this:
Character 1: Yellow, Green, Black
Character 2: Red, Blue, White
Main Character : Chrono Cross ONLY!

5. Now, begin the battle with the "Lavos Spawn" and build the main character's level to 8 and the remaining 2 characters to 3.

6. Defend all the way, after getting the required element levels, then start the pattern after he casts a strong element, level 5 or 6 (to make sure "Lavos Spawn" rest time is long)

7. Character 1 casts "Uplift" (yellow lv1)

8. Character 2 casts "Fireball" (red lv1)

9. Character 1 recovers stamina to 1.0 (or above) then casts "Bushwhacker" (green lv1)

10. Character 2 also recovers stamina to 1.0 or higher then casts "Aquabeam" (blue lv1)

11. Main Character attacks "Lavos Spawn" with "1" attacks only. (WATCH THE OTHER 2 CHARACTERS STAMINA AS THE RECOVER FROM -6.0 to 1.0)

12. Character 1 recovers stamina to 1.0 then casts "GravityBlow" (lv1 Black)

13. Character 2 recovers stamina to 1. then casts "PhotonRay" (lv1 white)

14. Finally, Main Character finishes it off by using Chrono Cross Element.

There you go! My Personal way of creating the Chrono Cross pattern all by yourself.

One more thing

Try also equiping "Recover All" to character 2 and raise his/her element level to 5 so that he/she will cast a recovery magic for all so that you will start "New Game+" fully healed.

Or better yet:

Character 2 is a white innate color character and let him/her equip "Holy Healing" for 100% sure full health "New Game+"
