Chrono Cross Forum Rules/Banning List Ver 2.0
|
Greetings,
The following is a brief and brisk list of a few little things that all Chrono Cross fans out there can do to keep this an informative and well-kept Discussion Board.
1) Swearing in your posts is all right, just as long as none of it is directed at another gamer aggressively. Harrassment will not be tolerated.
2) Try not to flood the discussion boards with too many un-needed Message Threads. Try to stay on the topic of gameplay, and try not to go overboard with discussion idea offshoots.
3) Please read some of the other Message Threads in the Forum before you post a New Message Thread. There may be an answer that you are looking for already waiting in one of the old strings.
If anyone else wishes to suggest some ideas that would help keep the Forum organized, please post a reply. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

re: Chrono Cross Forum Rules

Well I feel some updated rules are in order.
No spamming or off topic posts. If you have nothing related to the topic then please do not post at all. Posting something unrelated only starts a new topic and makes a big mess. Also double posts and triple posts are not needed. Use the edit feature if you have something to add unless it is completely off of what you posted before. Only in certain situations though.
No flamming. This is just as bad as spamming. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if it does not agree with your own. If you have a problem then please PM the Moderator or report the post. Do not flame back because it will only put you in the wrong with the other person which is just what they want.
No clone threads. Please use the search function to make sure there are no more threads like the one your about to create.
Also with Help Threads. If anyone makes an help thread then please help them. I don't want any Memberators coming in and belittling the member for not using the help thread. Help thread are optional uses for help. This is a game site and game help is number one before anything else. Simply help them and link them to the thread or FAQ. Example:
quote Member 1
Hey I need help finding the blah blah blah quote Member 2
Oh well first you do this, this and that.
If you have any further problems in the future we have a general help thread/FAQ *Link* that you can also use if you need. Request Closures, I do not want any of these. If there is a thread that you feel should not be report the first post and move on. Requesting closures is rude to the member making the thread and the Mod in the forum or section. For unmodded forums the Mod cannot see your request closure so it does nothing to help the situation. Classic example:
quote Memberator
This thread is useless
REQUEST CLOSURE This upsets the originator and can cause flaming. It also questions the Mods ability to know if a thread should be closed or not.
No discussions on illegal topics. Discussions on ROM sites, gameshark codes, illegal substances like drugs and alcohol, ect...
Have fun. That is what this is all about is you enjoying your time here without going out of line.
If you have any questions or need help PM the Moderator of his forum: lkjhgfdsa

Banning Database
Okay this is a new idea submitted by the Adminitration for Forums. Here all members from now on that are banned will be shown in a style like this:
Name: RPG_Master44 Date: February 26th, 2003 Reason: Just too cool (j/k) Duration: 4 days Restriction: Ban or PPD Return: Feburary 30th, 2003 Additional Comments: Blah, blah, blah
All the same rules still apply so to not risk humilition I suggest you becareful. Also members creating a second account within the time of the ban will be dealt with accordingly.
Members Banned:
None...for now...

It's still great to see that there were never any spamming or banning problems in this forum. All the members who visit here have been just wonderful! As your old forum mod, I'd like to say congratulations, and keep up the good work!
One more thing, if anybody still has any questions or concerns, just PM me. I may not be able to do as much in the forum anymore, but I'll still do my best to assist. Thanks.

I'm the new moderator, now, and I'd like to say that I will follow in the footsteps of these wonderful mods of yore, and the same rules do still apply, but I'd also like to remind everyone, that I am always happy to recieve a pm from any of the people that visit here.
If you have a problem, a suggestion, an idea, a question, anything at all, please don't hesitate to pm me, I check my pms every night.
I'm here almost all weeknights from 6:30-8:00 central (I live in the midwest). And I'm on over 50% of the weekends, from 11:00-12:30 as well as the normal nightly time.
Have fun.
Also I'd like to add, that if anyone has to ask me a specific question, just for me, please do so with a pm, instead of spamming your post, thank you.
