That's like telling me not to post in the UK Forum simply because I'm not from the UK.

I do respect there opinions, but I also have mine. I also feel I'm a regular here too, and even though I haven't played the game that doesn't make me any less of a member.

Tbh I really don't know how this is going to get solved. No matter what we decide on I bet one person still won't be fully happy. I've talked to Lone about it and even he doesn't know. He only brought the issue up as some members were getting annoyed, and as such he shouldn't have to feel pressured into making a decision if we can't make it on our own because that won't be good for the forum.

I will try and cut down on the football talk, mainly because I love all you guys, you're my friends, so I'm willing to sacrifice footy talk to continue being friends with you guys.

Just cant win with you guys.

Thats one of my points.. Chelski is a friend on the forum, he hasn't played FF8 at all so he wouldn't know anything about it. If you lot got your own way then chelski shouldn't be posting on the forum at all and I dont want that.

Wow no need to get sexist. Who gives a damn if it's such a 'macho man' game? OF, what do you mean you're not getting any respect...we are just bringing something up, and you seem to just be denying it over and over again.

Take a look at the GD's, how much of it discusses football? I mean come on, the topic's almost a centralized topic, and that's not what this forum's for...the football forum is. Please read this thread over again, with a clear mind no less. We're all friends here, and even friends have their disputes, but don't take things as disrespect and jump to conclusions, please.

You're blowing things way out of proportion, man. It's not about, "zoh my god! It's liek 5v2! We uz gonna loos!" (DAMN I hate intentionally typing like that). It's a simple debate between friends. Who here has said they want football completely gone from here? No one but you keeps believing we do. It's just to tone it down a bit, more occasional talk than usual.

You have to consider our thoughts on the matter...I consider all of your's for wrestling, cricket, etc.. I mean, I bring up Transformers quite often, but it's not like I mention it on every page.

BG, GG, Neto, Amari, and others have come forward, and just reading over the thread, you are overreacting. GG especially pointed out making the football forum a fun place to visit since you don't like it there...give it a shot.

By the way, Chelski, you're not going to lose our friendship if you continue to discuss football. That was never going to happen. Just slightly, and I mean slightly, bring it down a bit.

I could individually quote tiny parts from all posts in the past two pages I disagree with. But I won't. I must admit I'm disillusioned to see how this turned out, but it was one of the predicaments I had in mind anyway.

This post of mine will be the bottom line in the argument, hopefully. So I'll try to word it the best way I can.

Like mentioned above, this forum is based on the community and the fact that we're all friends with each other. And I am personally willing to sacrifice a few posts on football in order to make fellow members feel more welcome in the GD.

I think the purpose has been achieved, even in a rather disappointing way. These past 2-3 pages have raised awareness so we all know that we should make a little extra effort to make other members welcome in the GD. That doesn't mean not talking about football at all, of course, just limiting the extent of football related discussion.

There's only so much you can talk about in this game, an off-topic community is no harm. Different kinds pop up here and there.

Sounds good as a concept. I need some feedback, though. I can't think much at my condition, how many theories are there?

There's certainly the R=U theory which is the major hit of the existing theories thread, the Squall dies at the end theory (which already has its own thread), some Hyne theories (that could be discussed in the Great Hyne thread), maybe the Squall-Laguna theory (which is more than a theory), I must be missing a few?

I'm sure there are more that people will come up with.

But regardless, those four theories you mentioned have some great discussion value and certainly shouldn't all be merged into one thread, IMO.

I really need the game then, otherwise I won't be discussing anything

Exactly, i would feel that i was ignoring that persons post and that wouldn't be nice. So if an 'exclusive' subject is discussed it either ends up people having to change the topic and the process ignoring someone, or a group of members not into whatever the discussion may be are not able to post.

Good point Hell but there are so many theorys it'll just be spam, mind you a thread for each theory is easy to find I guess.
