My impression is just this: Edea is married, and divorced before she opens up the orphanage. So this makes her about 30? Maybe older, maybe younger, but more or less the same age. 17 years later, she'll be in her late 40s. She just doesn't look that old in the FMVs.

So maybe their lifespan is somehow lengthened?

Then again, you do get some young looking middle-aged people.

Again, it's very speculative though. Who would capture and imprison her? Esthar? They already tried that. I doubt in the future, Laguna as president would try again. And she posed no threat after the defeat of Ultemicia, so why would they imprison her? And why would Squall let them?

The problem with all the evidence for the R=U theory is that a lot of it is very speculative, there are some possibilities but they aren't always based in game evidence imo.

Well its been a few months since i last posted on this forum.

1st congratulations to BG for becoming moderator.

2nd, i have a copy version of FF8 (i tried to find an original one but they dont sell it original anymore here in veneuela).

3rd, i havent even eded it because always that i buy the CD4 it comes bad, plannin on asking for it in my birthday.

4th I think thats posible that theory off Gilgamesh being a Slider.

5th I havent seen this forum in a very long time (this was the 3rd forum tht i posted before i became a member when i used to call me myself Lord of Weapons and Magic) glad that its running again.

6th I Stay for the multi-simbiote theory off old (even capcom copied this game with RES4 and RES:UC).

hey again, DI, it's been a while. And MissingScore, i have always wondered that too. Would Ulti not recognise her past form. And Ultemicia possesed Rinoa, even with time compression it seems a some what odd concept to posses yourself. I still think there are too many potential holes in the theory for me to believe it personally.

I just got an awesome idea.

As you know, Squall is actually Lagunas child. There is many proofs of it.

- Why would Ellone think that Squall is her bro? (Everybody actually thought that Ellone is their sis, or at least they imagined it because she were older than others. However, Squall and Ellone were the closest ones).

- Why Laguna and Squall speaks same way and have little same type of personality etc?

- Why Squall is always Laguna in the flashbacks?

- Why Kiros and Ward (can't even talk) gives hints about that?

And the powerful one! Moombas recoqnizes Squall as Laguna because they have same type of blood.

But however, the main question is, why Laguna did'nt pick up Squall from the oprahance? Actually many believes that Laguna did'nt know that Squall was his son. But I'm sure that Ellone would tell about it. That's why there is a hole now on that theory.

When Squall leaves the future/time compressed world (Where he fought against Ultimecia) he returns on that point, where he was a kid. He tell's about everything for Edea. After that Squall will returns back to the time compression (time compressed world). Rest of this you already know. But how about this? Edea tell's about Squall for Laguna, that's why he leaves him. Nah, I think that future Squall appeared after Laguna visited there, so there is no way.

But as you know, you can see little conversation with Edea and Laguna. Did Laguna talk about taking Ellone safe? And Edea said (If I remember right): "What should I tell for him". So they both knew, that Ellone was very close one for Squall. Maybe...

So, Ellone is 4 years older than Squall anyway.

Story and some things are little fu**ed up you know? That's suck's.. Because it is so good, but it would be better if there would'nt be so much holes in the story.

Or have I missed something? Was Ellone kidnapped from the oprahance? Oh man, timeline is really messed up. Somebody should make a timeline about this. Anybody who wants?

If somebody have already made a timeline of this, give me a link.

I just talked with Kiros and Ward in the Ragnarok. It is bit stupid that you can ask questions about Laguna in Timber, but you can't in Ragnarok, or even in Esthar. That's sucks...:/ But however, I don't understand people who thinks that Laguna is'nt Squall's father. There is just no point in that Kiros and Ward would say those things in Ragnarok.

- Kiros line: "You look much like your mother" or something...
- Ward's line: "Good thing you don't look like your father" or something...

And Laguna promises to tell a lot for Squall, why? Because he knows that he is his son. That's bit sucks, because it would be nice to see/hear the whole story. But your in a hurry, however most players still go level up for hour's.

I'm 100% sure, actually 120% sure that Laguna is his father. And Raine of course his mother.

Why Square made all those hints, if not?

Laguna didn't impress me as a man though, abandoning his family like that..one of the turn offs for the game for me...
