To us, Rinoa definately looks very Asian, as we said before. Her eyes are more almond than big we'd say, and her skin color looks also not pale white but more like... Japanese IOHO.

Xu and Fujin are indeed somewhat difficult to see, as the graphics other than the fmv's are simply not given much detail away. But we'd say their names are definately Asian and we guess that's why we've always seen those two as Asian too, even though their faces are not very clear anywhere.

Alessa, we don't know about others but the 2nd to 4th picture didn't show for us. Not sure if it's us or if it's the links, but we get the red X

That dagger outfit looks good! Even the gloves seem somewhat bulky/big, which is typical for all FFIX characters, huge hands. That was what the cosplaying Dagger pointing at Zidane was missing, bigger gloves hehe.

And she has the same sad eyes as Dagger on the last picture, only a bit smaller...

I reckon Rinoa's eyes are her main Asian feature. Even in the original image, her eyes are what makes her look Asian.

I'll (hopefully) be posting up some of my own cosplay in the next few weeks ... or months (lol) ... I've been putting a few costumes together, and just have a few bits and pieces that I need to buy and fix-up a bit. (I'd make them myself, if I could. But my sewing skill is summed up perfectly by the report-card my sewing teacher gave me: "Your sewing skill is equivalent to a third graders.... and I'm being generous. You can't follow patterns. You can't sew straight. You can't use a sewing machine or overlocker. You can't use applique. You final products always look NOTHING like your initial ideas. Even your simple square shaped pillows have been completely botched. And you've been in this class for four years! You've passed ... but barely!"

Hmm, i think rinoa looks the most Asian of all FFVIII characters, but not entirely Asian.
As someone has said (I forgot who XD) Rinoa looks in-between Asian and European.
