Yeah, it was always most obvious with Vincent in my case.

I didn't use Vincent much, either.
Although he was a pretty good character, I didn't like losing control over him in his limit break.

It's the same reason why I never use Rinoa's "angel wing," or Ifrit's "mad rush."

I'm also one of those people who likes to complete everything possible in the game.
But, for some reason, I never felt the need to include levelling up to 100 in that in the other FF games I've played.

Same here, it took me hours to find the ship.

What literally took me days to discover was Esthar. I went round the whole continent complex, from Centra to Trabia, over 10 times looking for possible entrances. Then one day I randomly took the Garden to FH and the rest is history...

That's the disadvantage yet the charm of playing without a walkthrough.

I thought you are supposed to go to Rinoa's room... where they have her resting and you automatically go to FH.

Did you have to go to FH for something though on your own?
