	Log in to remove this sponsored message I got some money for my birthday and I'm wondering if I should buy FFVIII or IX. I know this is a VIII board, but I'd still like honest opinions. And I would like to get both, I probably will when/if I get some more money(My birthay's actually on the 14th, I got some early) but until then, the rest goes to Advent Children. So any opinions?

	FFIX was horrible imo, FFVIII is the better choice, I just beat it for the third time.

I suggest FF8 cos its worth the money. The storyline is good, music is good and there is a lot of challenging side quests. And ya can get card games which is a good addition to FF8. In FF9, there's card game also but there is really NO use watsoever playing it.

	FF9 is only worth it if you have the others. Its alright, but FF8 is better.

	Songs don't matter. Gameplay does. As long as you don't mind non-recent graphics and like a good storyline, with a good combat system its really good. Only problem is, if you know what you are doing, you can have 2000-3000 life within one hour of playing the game, you just have to understand exactly what to do, lol. ------------------- In the first place God made idiots. 	Soundtrack does matter alot, but fortunately FF VIII like others final fantasy's soundtracks, is great... For the rest, In my opinion it has the best storyline from all the final fantasy's that i've played(VII to X), altough 7 doesnt count because i've never passed from cd1... And for me the story is what i notice the most in rpg games, also it has the best FMV's of all the final fantasy' that I've played(In terms of graphics of course they are not better than X) but are abundante and great, watch them and see for yourself... Altough many people doesnt like the draw system(i dont like it so much either) It has the junction system, wich is great, and would only work with the draw system... I would have so much more to say about FF VIII so I will just leave it like this... And IX(being a final fantasy is still very good) It was the one i've liked the least(then again I have to finish VII to compare to it) This message was edited by Dipe on Jul 16 2005.

	I ended up with more money than I thought I'd get, and I went ahead and bought both. =P And no, I'm not one of those people who judge games by their graphics. FFVII being my favorite. Awesome..

	Yup, so now all I have to do is wait for Advent Children. Which is hard. Very hard. And a few days for VIII and IX to arrive. twitch I'll just play Xenosaga 2 in the meantine. Thanks again for all your opinions!

	I hope I'll finish Final Fantasy VII Before advent children is released... I have the game since 1998 or something like that, and never passed cd1 shame on me...

	Wow, guess you just drifted away for awhile from that game, huh? Happened to me when I couldn't defeat Hojo. x_x Well, you still have until September 14th(or 13th), and it's a really good game, so have fun!
