	well, if since they wont make another one, they should at least make an extra disk including things like the sorceress war, Laguna Kiros and Ward's adventures, and all that stuff, ya know??

	I'm not sure an extra disk would work as an idea, since the game is ~8 years old anyway. A prequel as a separate game would be better imo. But of course, Laguna party / Sorceress War / Orphanage stories are all parts of the plot that could easily be exploited in a possible prequel. There is material to work on, almost as if a prequel had been pre-designed. Note: I partly posted just to make page 27 appear, the infamous "last page doesn't appear" bug seems to be back.

	I liked the idea of there being a prequel that focuses on Laguna. There is enough possible material there to make a game that could rival the sheer depth of FF X-2. ::ahem:: I also wouldn't mind seeing a Final Fantasy VIII Gaiden that focuses on the Seifer/Discipline Committee (seeing as how there is a video on the net called FF8 Gaiden which features Raijin, Fujin, and Seifer fighting some monsters). It'd be nice to see Seifer's character fleshed out and to see the struggle Raijin and Fujin face because of Seifer's actions. I'm sure the people at Square Enix could find a way to make a game that incorporated the POV stories of Laguna, Ellone, Edea/Cid, and Seifer/Disciplinary Committe and have it end at the same place the original game did. I liked the use of the ATE in FFIX so I'm sure an updated version could be used for a game made for the PS2/3.

	Ah yes. I've seen the Action Replay video you are referring to. To be honest, the Seifer committee never appealed to me too much. I will agree, though, that there's much room for development considering how they all changed throughout the game. I personally would prefer a Laguna prequel to a "side-plot" based game.

	I wouldn't want a sidequel really. That would mean we would have to lose in the game :/ I think a novel would be nice though -------------------

	A novel would be perfect, a means of showing us each character's views and opinions at certain points throughout the story. There could also be a chapter or two on Seifer and Edea, and a lot more detail on the Laguna dreams.

	I'd prefer a game to a novel too. Of course a novel would not be a bad idea, I can see some advantages compared to a sidequel / prequel / sequel. However, it's always a different experience when you're able to control the characters through all the situations instead of just being a passive audience.

	Books > Movies that's for sure. I can hardly compare a book with a PC game. A PC game is more interactive, but a book is more descriptive. I would like to see a pre/sidequel alongside with a book. ------------------- *If a machine can learn the value of life, maybe we can too*

	The problem I see with a game where you play through Seifer and Edea's perspective is that you would be losing through the whole game XD That's not fun in my opinion A novel would be the best way to go about this. -------------------

	I didn't bother to read the whole thread, so I'm not sure if anyone has posted this... but I've been browsing about the net finding forums with this discussion... and if it isn't already here... I thought you all might find this picture interesting. Note, there is the multi-colored art work behind the title, and it is on the cover of a Japanese magazine... I've heard no official news, but I think it could be real!

	Interesting cover. I don't know if it's true but the whole idea sounds intriguing. Judging from the cover it's a sequel. Or perhaps it's a midquel (!); perhaps if R=U theory is true, this is Rinoa in a transitional stage. Or that picture is old and I'm jumping into conclusions pointlessly.
