Squall VS Sephiroth: Who is the better warrior - Page 2

First of all, to be fair to Squall - why does he have to use low-level GFs like Shiva, Carbuncle etc? If I were to junction him, I could put Cerebus for speed, Diablo for HP, Eden (for GF summon) and Bahamut for strength (+60%). This could make Squall a force to be reckon with.

Only thing Sephiroth could have working for him could be his Jenova cells which enable him to be faster, stronger (than average humans) and able to heal. His materias will be useless cos whatever he has, Squall could just draw it out and use it as his own. Which means if Sephy has Full-Cure materia available on him, Squall can draw it from him and Sephy cannot do anything to stop it.

In the end, it will be a duel of techniques and sere tactics. Not about who has advantage in term of hardware.

In combat, there is no such thing as fair or unfair. IF Squall has the power (of Eden) behind him, then he is the winner. I don't use GF much so I don't remember Eden's max HP when it reaches lv. 99, but if it could break HP (like it could break limit), then Sephy is in deep trouble.

And besides, like I have said before, junctioning in FF8 is the best battle system ever (in the whole FF game). Nothing comes close to defeating it.

It would be fun to have a battle between Squall and the invincible Sephiroth, that joined your party in FF7. Of course Squall couldn't beat him (unless Return Damage would work), but Sephiroth couldn/t beat him either, because his attcks are just some elemental spells and his physical attack. Ultima and Flare or something like that junctionned to EL-Def-J and Defend would rend all of Sephiroths atacks useless.

So the winner would be the one, who can stand the boredom longer, hehehe!

Speaking of limit breaks, in FF7 the limit breaks comes from getting hit. Ya can use Fury item, but the limit break still takes a while to load. In FF8, limit break will be available instantly when ya use Aura magic or stone.

But limit breaks in FF8 have its own weakness. There are a high percentage that Squall will not do Lionheart on the first turn. He could do other finishing moves and it may take two or three turns before he does the Lionheart.

However, in FF7, if the character had learned the final limit break, it will be available to him when he reached it. So, it is still a matter of luck here.

i think what hes trying to say is that in like a realistic sense in battle your most powerful move would also be the most difficult to preform I.E. the omni slash in ff7:AC. that being said it would take a good long while (if were talking in ff7:AC terms) for squall to get to pull off lionheart.

absolutely true in fact when i see the attack animation for renzozuken i try to imagine that all his fighting is like that. just like i feel AC took all of clouds badassness from his limit breaks
