General Discussion XLIV "The Lion Stalks the Savannah" - Page 17

I love FFXIII! Sure, it's linear, but I'm enjoying the story so far (I'm near the end of Ch. 11 as I'm typing this), and the battle system is intense and cool at the same time. I'm kind of enjoying the difficulty of the battles too, even if it slows down my progress into the story. Still, having a lot of tough battles where I can actually get a Game Over from regular battles and making me train more is kind of refreshing. Normally only bosses have a chance to kill me, and there is usually only a handful in each game that I can't beat on the first try.

I have to disagree with the battle system being the only thing well done. The storytelling was another strong point of the game. I liked that they gave you the background out of order and it leaves you wondering why characters are being a certain way or what made them that way. I really do like pretty much every character for different reasons. And of course, the graphics are amazing.

And the ending wasn't up to par? I REALLY disagree on that. Especially when you say it isn't even par to FF12's ending. That ending was not satisfying at all. FFXIII's ending is one of the best in my opinion.

On another note, what other games has everyone been playing? I haven't been playing too many games the last couple of days. Just been watching variety shows

I don't have TV so I watch everything online

We just really don't want to pay for cable lmao

I'm going to go see Clash of the Titans tomorrow. Anyone else seen it? (and how did you like it if you did at all)

I am afraid that I am going to have to strongly disagree with you here.

The characters were the strong point of the game. They were all diverse and interesting, and masterfully interwoven into the plot. The let down would have to be that the antagonist didn't get enough screen time, or enough motive to be doing what he was doing, but aside from that the game was just beautiful. Memorable locations, and unforgettable music tracks. This whole game was gorgeous! What's there not to like about it?

Why isnt there a need for a mod to be assigned here? It seems to get enough daily attention just like FF7 and FF9..

If anything, Lone can quickly PM a proper mod if we ever need one.
