I just started replaying and was wondering, is there a way to increase the chance and number of magics you draw? Zell sucks at drawing and it usually fails. Anyone know?

yeh, thats whats odd, cos on the playthrough im on now, zell is the best for drawing. i think it's got something to do with junctions (magic and the element of the gf maybe) and possibly luck, or one of the other stats. i dont think level makes a difference.

It all has to do with the character's Magic stat and the spell power.

A high-magic Squall will draw more Fire spells than a low-magic Rinoa will draw Ultima.


PS: I'm not 100% sure if the Luck stat comes into play at all, but most possibly it does not.


So, to answer your actual question, you need to boost your character's Magic stat, either by junctioning spells to it or by using Mag+20% / Mag+40% abilities. Levelling up is obviously another possibility, as higher level = higher stats.
