Actually, it is not ignorant at all because you can read whether or not a person is dumb from their speech and actions. It doesn't take knowing someone personally. I'm not saying he doesn't have the potential to become a genius, just that he is not at this current point in time or even close. You ignorantly tried to make a point about being ignorant. Yes, the truth can hurt.

Many people on here don't speak english as their native language, and cannot help mixing up/forgetting words now and then. Assaulting them (and me) won't get you far in this forum. I have seen many people come here with that attitude, and they are quickly put in their place by the mods. Nobody around here likes to see negativity, so let's try to get along!

If English is not his primary language, then fine, I can not say anything about his intelligence. Although, am I to ask every one that seemingly has bad grammar "hey buddy are you a foreigner?"? It could be considered offensive to him or her and make me look a little weird.

I still, however, can not agree with his thought that women are supposed to be tougher than men simply because man wasn't endowed with pregnancy. I especially can not agree with his thought that just because women are forced to endure the pain of pregnancy they are superior to men. That statement of his in itself is just dumb.

This is all getting quite silly, really. Yes we should get along lol

I mentioned deception because that is the only skill that comes to mind that women are GENERALLY better at if they try that has to do with mental and physical strength. This discussion has nothing to do with anything that is not about combat.

I communicated everything perfectly. I can not help if someone, or you, can not comprehend how things tie together. Also, it is your OPINION that no one cares about my statements. It is your OPINION that they are lame. If nobody cared as you say, nobody would have said a dang thing about what I said. Alright then, recess over. It's a pretty tough issue for me to deal with. No straight-out flaming took place but a few members got offended, which is something I try to avoid by all means.

Hopefully the issue is solved now, following a PM I got from Strifestriken. However, I'd still like to offer my imput as a moderator and as a member:

That is a correct point. The average man is by nature more muscular and physically stronger than the average woman; it's a proven fact. Of course that doesn't mean anything about sexes and which one is "better" or "more useful", we're just talking about physical prowess.

This is where we get past the limit that separates debating from insulting and that's where a line needs to be drawn.


Overall, I'd just like people to take it down a notch. And that's not a mere request, it's something I'll be imposing by deleting inflammatory replies. Hopefully, I won't need to resort to that so we can go back to the actual debate about Zell and Tifa without making it personal.


To the topic, then, I'd say it's hard to utilise the "men are physically stronger than women irl" statement / fact when Square themselves incorporate that difference of physical power into their battle system. If level 100 Quistis has a strength stat of 46 and level 100 Irvine has one of 45 (based on real FF8 stats), then the "men are stronger than women irl" statement becomes void and everything comes down to their in-game battle capacities.

I agree/disagree on everything strife said.
Technically men are stronger than women. Its a known fact. I even watched a documentary on it.

You cant deny men are stronger. You dont see many women boxers. Mostly men. You dont see many boxing champions that are women. I ain't being sexist here at all. women are better than men at certain stuff I agree on that. We both have our advantages/disadvantages.

I think we should cool this convosation down a bit as people are getting pretty frustrated. Back ON-TOPC.

Got no problem with that man, just don't use it as a excuse to go off on one. Maybe I misunderstood, but you sounded way too offensive. and DE-fensive. Carouselambra loves the lovely ladies. So just keep it decent.

Anyway what about yeh, if there was a fighting game with all the characters from final fantasy? then you'd have player skill as a fac-tor .
