	Log in to remove this sponsored message When I got my laptop few years back it came with an Ati Radeon Xpress 200m chipset graphics card. I know laptops are not meant for gaming but I have found this to be ridiculous for playing games. Its my birthday soon and I am hoping to get a new graphics card but I'm not sure on a lot of things. I will have £130 to spend ($260?), and I want a graphics card for around this much. 1. Any suggestion for a graphics card, maybe one you have had that will play most games? 2. My laptop has a closed case and I don't think it opens, how would I change my graphics card and how would I change my driver information or software. 3. One game I have been having problems with is Medieval total war: gold edition. 	what graphics interface will you be using? PCI, PCI-E or AGP?? The ATI x1950 series are good cards and now under £100 For a laptop?? Oh sorry I know bugger all about those... This message was edited by TheComedyGuy on Sep 12 2007.

	I'm about to crush all your hopes and dreams... About the only thing you can upgrade on a laptop is the RAM, and sometimes the harddrive. Sometimes you can get a faster processor, but thats about it. It is next to impossible to upgrade the video card, and if its onboard forget about it. -------------------

	Its a Toshiba Equium l20. Theres a bunch of unscrewable things on the bottom so it might be possible. I'll have to check. ------------------- Formerly known as Matt_The_Master

	Let me rephrase this a) you cant buy laptop video cards easily b) you cant change integrated video c) you cant stick a desktop card in it d) i doubt it can power it, if it came with integrated, it definately wont power it e) those screws probably go to the hard drive, RAM, and possibly CPU. OF course all the screews and u could get at the mobo, but you will probably fry it before u can even locate the video. It is not possible.

	Sorry mate, you're screwed the chance of you being able to change your graphics card on your laptop. Your better of buying a PC, (I know it will be hard to save up), and gradually buy better and better parts. ------------------- You were what I needed, what i wanted. .. Not anymore, not anymore.

	Your laptop is a low end model, and will not allow you to do much with it. Your Ati Radeon Xpress 200m is a chipset built into the motherboard, you can't change it. Some higher end laptops will have a separate graphics card that can be swapped out, you can even buy a barebone laptop with pretty much sporting nothing but a motherboard.
