	Log in to remove this sponsored message Hi, recently I want to build a computer and I want the OS to be Windows XP. Since Windows XP does not support Direct X10, is there a point to have a Direct X10 compactible graphics card on the CPU that has Windows XP as OS? Thanks.

	Forgot to mention, the graphics card that I want is ATI radeon 4770. I use the computer to play online games and capable of playing PC games in recent years. Is it a waste to use this graphics card if I use Windows XP as OS? Thanks.

	Yeah that will work perfectly with the 4770. Do you already have one? I thought you were wondering if it would be ok to buy one Yeah even though XP doesn't use DirectX 10, it's not stupid to use a DirectX 10 card. Why? You'll still get way good performance. I'd recommend upgrading to win7 though, especially if you want a gaming computer.

	Don't worry too much about DX 10 / versus DX 9. In 99% of the times , you would not be able to notice any actual difference in the look of a game that is running in DX 10 or DX 9. DX 10 hardly makes any difference at all -- more often than not, you'll just lose frames playing a game in DX10 when you could be playing it DX9. With a HD 4770 , even if you had Vista installed, I'd recommend playing in DX9 mode anyways, so no need to worry about it.
