The Jonas Brothers started as a solo project of the youngest member and second youngest brother, Nick Jonas. Once the recording company became aware that he had two other musically talented brothers (Kevin and Joe), they were quickly signed to Columbia Records. The brothers considered naming their group "Sons of Jonas," before settling on the name the "Jonas Brothers". Their father manages the group, and was in charge of getting the band's record deals. The Jonas Brothers released their first album, It's About Time, on August 8, 2006. After switching labels to Hollywood Records, their self-titled second album, Jonas Brothers was released on August 7th 2007. The Jonas Brothers have been featured on MTV's Total Request Live, with their music video for "Mandy" reaching number four. The Jonas Brothers made number 2 in TRL's top ten with their video "Hold On" from their second album. The group's music has also been featured in the Nickelodeon television film Zoey 101: Spring Break-Up and on the Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoon Fridays program. They have also reached the top of Radio Disney's chart with their song "Year 3000", followed by "Mandy", "Hold On", "Kids of the Future", and "Poor Unfortunate Souls". The brothers' full names are Paul Kevin Jonas II, Joseph Adam Jonas, and Nicholas Jerry Jonas. There's a fourth Jonas, Frankie William Jonas, is also known as the 'Bonus Jonas' or 'Frank the Tank'. The Jonas Brothers guest starred in an episode of the Disney Channel Show Hannah Montana titled Me and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas, which appeared after the DCOM High School Musical 2 and 10.7 million people saw it.[3] In 2007, the pilot to a new fictional television series entitled J.O.N.A.S! starring the trio as a group of government hired spies was filmed, and is expected to debut on the Disney Channel in 2008. Also in 2007, the brothers began appearing in commercials for Baby Bottle Pops, singing the slogan. The Jonas Brothers appeared with Miley Cyrus presenting an award at the Teen Choice Awards on August 26, 2007. The new single "I Wanna Be Like You" appeared on Disney Channel. The Jonas Brothers performed at the closing ceremonies of the Disney Channel Games on August 1, 2007.[citation needed] The Jonas Brothers will be opening for Miley Cyrus on a 54-date North American concert tour starting October 18, 2007 in St. Louis, Missouri and ending January 9, 2008 in Albany, New York. 	I used to hate them, not long ago. I used to think it was all Disney-Channel cheesey crap, but I've learned alot more about them recently. Nick, the youngest, is batteling type one diabetes, which, although it seems like nothing, can be a struggle, as I also suffer from it. I think he's a great rolemodel. Also, each member of the band wear purity rings. The band is normally listened to by tweenie-boppers, who really only appreciete them for their looks, and they only know who they are through Hannah Montana and the Disney Channel, but theres more to them than that. I could never take them seriously as I watched my 10 year old sister dance around to one of their cheesier songs, but I've now lister to some of their older music before the Disney Channel and that came, and I really like it. That is all. Edit: Also, they originaily wernt Teen Pop, but Christian Rock.

Disney Channel are allways making talented people seem ridiculous. Alot of people are like, "You like the Jonas Brothers, what are you, like 11?" but they are actually aimed at everyone. 	Meh, I agree. I find that when a star is on the Disney Channel, mostly it seems like the stars are only for younger kids because it's "Disney." But it isn't really supposed to be that way. =/ -------------------

You're talking about their old stuff. Nick was only about 12 and had a very high-pitched voice. They are now 15, 17, and 20 and have excellent voices. Read more about the band now before jumping to conclusions! I actually think Nick's voice was quite cute when he was younger. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it just annoys me how some people don't even know what they're talking about. Also, not ALL bands can have amazing low voices and dress exactly the same. All bands are different. Tbh they're nothing like Blink 182 I am a former fan..

	They have some of the most insane fan's I've ever had the displeasure of talking too. It seems you can't give constructive criticism about the Jonas boys with them attacking you. I also hate how nearly every American Jonas teen bopper seems to think they wrote Year 3000 and What I Goto School For. They completely murdered those Busted covers. All three of them have nice voices but that is hardly enough these days to make a good band, they're pretty much just your typical boy band; vocally. There is nothing that stands out or makes them any different. ..They're just an excuse to make preteen pop fans think they're hardcore rockers. Cutting in on the trend of pop-rock thats been sweeping all over the place the past few years. Can you tell I dislike them a bit?
