I got both their albums about a month ago and was very impressed with them. They were also in Glasgow last month supporting Fightstar and I wanted to go to see AFS, but unfortunately I wasn't able to go.

I enjoy their song Car Underwater quite abit, I'm gonna try and get this album soon from my buddy. It was weird too, I mentioned listening to them to someone, and they said I looked like the lead singer.

I've only heard one song: Car Underwater. Infact, most of the Emos that go down town have only heard Car underwater.
So what do you suggest I download? -------------------

I saw the video for Car Underwater on Headbangers Ball (that sounds kind of awkward lol). I can't say I liked it much..

Now I've always heard of this band, and for some reason, I always thought their name was Armor for Sheep. Their real name is much crappier. I might download a couple of their songs if I'm bored.

Yes, so in my last post I said I'd download some tracks. And I love this band. I really like "Basement Ghost Singing", "Car Underwater", "The Truth About Heaven", and pretty much everything.
I saw them last night with Chiodos and Boys Night Out. They have a GREAT live show. It's very energetic and chaotic, despite what you'd think it'd be like for this band. If you enjoy and emo at all, or just rock(ish) music in general, check out this band. ------------------- ![]() .myspace.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to seeing them at Warped Tour this summer. Car Underwater is undoubtedly my favorite song, though The Truth About Heaven is a close second. I'd also recommend My Town and Dream to Make Believe.
I remember hearing they had a new CD due out this year, and I double-checked pyroguy's 2006 Releases thread to confirm it, but I still don't know anything about a new album. Has anyone heard anything yet? They released a new demo on PureVolume called The Way Out is Broken, but still no mention of a release date for the CD. Their tour ends in March, then they'll be on the Warped Tour during the summer, so I guess they'll work on their new album between tours or after Warped. ------------------- Didn't I see you when you thought you'd never stand out?

Haha, funny you say that! At the show last night they played one or two new songs, and said that they were writing and recording some new stuff. One of my favorite parts of the show was when the lead guy came out and said: "This is a new song we just wrote... It's about being miserable..." I don't remember it too well, but it definetly wasn't bad, I don't remember one bad song the entire show.
So just wait, I'm sure that once they're off the tour that they're on right now, a new record will be out very soon. Plus, What to Do When You Are Dead came out in 05, it's only 06, give them some time. ------------------- ![]() .myspace.

I like Armor for sleep's sound very much. Their first album was ok and the best songs off it were Dream to make believe, and my town. I liked Kind of Perfect too.
Their Second album, what to do when you are dead (awesome cover too) is a great album from start to finish. They even tried something different with tracj number 6, a quick little flight. Best songs off it are Car Underwater, Remember to feel real, and Stay on the ground. Any of you guys have the I-tunes exclusive, Very Invisible? I'd love to hear that one. -------------------

If you want to know what Ben Jorgenson (The lead singer) is up to now, this is his new project: God Loves A Challenge. It's a radical change, and not really my type of music, but good for him I guess... ------------------- And when my eyes are paralyzed I'll stare up at you my star. That I could never reach.

I listened to Ben's new band a few days ago. I don't like it electronic/dance music that much.
As for AFS, WTDWYAD was such an awesome album but their third release (Smile For Them) wasn't a good album at all. I was really disappointed by it. Maybe it was a sign that they starting to lose their passion for the music they were making. -------------------
