	Log in to remove this sponsored message After meaning to get it for about a year, I finally got the album Takk. I really like it, especially the song Hoppípolla and Milano. But I found that it just made me listen to Ágætis Byrjun more, which has been climbing up the standings in my favortie albums list over the past few months. 	So I got Hvarf-Heim. Hvarf, the first CD, contains previously unrelease studio stuff, all of which is really good, especially Hljómalind. Heim is made up of previously released songs performed live acousticly. All the songs are good, but none of them are as good as the originals unfortunately. It's definitely an album worth getting though. -------------------

	Try Ágætis Byrjun, all of the vocals except for one song are in Icelandic rather than Hopelandic and each song has a distinct feel to it. -------------------

	Most likely. I'd say get Ágætis Byrjun next. New studio album coming out this fall. I'm pumped. -------------------

	Oh Slang. Gobbledigook is pretty good (tho it sounds like Animal Collective), and so is the music video if you like tons of nudity. 	It's better than Von I would say, but other than that all their other albums are preferrable. Still good though. I'll be seeing them live October 6th, can't wait. -------------------

	In anticipation of seeing Sigur Rós in Portland this fall, I've been watching some live videos of them I finally watched Heima a couple of weeks ago. Very well put together film. You really get a better understanding of Takk... as a while album from watching it. You also learn that Iceland is at the same time the most beautiful and lonely place in the world. You really have to watch it on a tv to be honest. I tried to watch it on Youtube before and it was a bit boring, but if you watch it in good quality it's quite captivating. Then tonight, to my pleasant surprise, as I was flipping channels I found an hour long show of Sigur Rós playing at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It was at an awesome setting. The place looked absolutely packed, even the staircases, and their was a statue in the middle of the stage. I appreciate a few of the songs off of the new album a lot more, such as Gobbledigook, Inní mér syngur vitleysingur, and Við spilum endalaust. They work really well live. -------------------

Stole the entire weekend for me, I was just gutted that their show happened on the Friday night because nothing topped it after that. It was absolutely amazing, the light show, the sound... everything. They played a really nice mix, including Hoppipolla, Glosoli, Svefn-g-englar and a 20-minute version of Untitled 8 as an encore. Inni Mer syngur Vitleysingur was absolutely amazing live as well. The greatest musical experience of my life. I got a similar set it seems, as all those songs plus Ny Bateri were the highlights for me. Festival was lots of fun too. Did Jonsi hold the last note in Svefn-g-Englar for like 2 minutes in you show as well? Untitled 8 is the most amazing song I've ever seen live, and I would go as far as saying it's one of the most amazing expereniences of my life. I was absolutely entranced and blown away. -------------------
