heh, this is my 1st post in this forum too that i remember, i happpen to be watching the Guns God and Government Word Tour right now.

In media class at school i found a site showing a list of stupid rumours about him.

some that i remember:

he replaced one of his eyes with one of his testicles, thus it being white (how stupid can people be?! its a contact!)

he was a child star on some shows that he's never even watched

the ribs thing, i hear it to not be true on that site and with the ammount of groupies he has, he really doesn't need to suck himself off

because of the cover on the mechanical animals cd, people thought he really had a sex change (when if you look at the pic, he is obviously not really a chick if you look at his crotch, if you see any of his recent music videos or concerts he often doesn't have a shirt on and 2 cds have come out since that album did.

this is a real fact out of a newspaper a few days ago, he is getting married to some 40 year old lady, and also i read on his official site that John5 (guatarist) and Twiggy (bass) are leaving his band.

Sorry, Marilyn Manson is an idiotic fool and a cheap ass rip-off artist. That bastard ripped off one of my fav metal bands, Dir en grey. And he has ripped off countless other visual kei and non-vk artists. Its far from original or "brillant". All he does is rip-off little known artists so people don't notice. Is in the music buisness for one little thing only, money. He just makes over-done cliché shock value. Plus his music isn't that well composed. If you think he's a genius, check out the bands he ripped off.

(EDIT: And if you don't believe he ripped off Dir en grey, then go here and look at the forth pic down. See that tie? Yeah, that's Kyo's personal BA-TSU tie which manson's POS guitarist is wearing in mOBSCENE and manson tried to say it was HIS design. Yeah, Deg sued his ass.)

have you read his autobiography or any other books on him? i've read The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell once and some parts a few times since. its really good.

I don't really get the "shock value" that people mention all the time, i've not heard of this Kyo person before...

i just went and took a screen capture of the shot with the tie in it. its only there a second, it took me ages to pause it on the exact part... but here it is



the numbers are the same, so that's interesting. do they mean anything? i was thinking it could have been a coincidence or something... but i guess it seems not to be.

when you say he is unoriginal, i know he's done a lot of covers of songs, like "tainted love" "you spin me right round" "sweet dreams" "rock n roll *bleep*" "i put a spell on you" "my monkey" "iron man" "blue monday" "like a virgin" "down in the park" "another brick in the wall" and "hit me baby one more time", but those are all licensed and stuff (or most would be), the people making not another teen movie got him to sing tainted love for the soundtrack.

if you know anything about his old concerts before he started opening for Nine Inch Nails and toured with them, you'd really hope his band were the only to do such stuff.

back when the band was called "marilyn manson and the spooky kids" and they were only known in their city, they used to do stuff like make a pinata over the audience, full of animal body parts with a stick up the front of the stage with a sign telling them not to use it.

(its things like that, and some of their old displays they'd do on stage, like with mechanical animals (i don't mean the cd) and have all the naked chicks and stuff is stuff not many other bands seem to do)

if you dislike marilyn manson and think he's a poser or whatever, you'd probably really dislike GC, i hear a lot of people talk about them with their ripping off stuff and fake image. (i'm just wonderng what you think of them).

what MM songs did you used to like? is this one thing the only thing that makes you dislike him so much?

I hate the guy, and it really freaks me out that he owns Poodles and is best friends with Johnny Depp, I wonder what I'm implying here.

I dont think too many people that listen to manson would like GC too much, GC and simple plan are my 2 most hated bands btw so thats what i think of GC. (pop-punk shit!) I also agree with the corpse paint comment. It is extremely disrespectful to wear that when the stuff he plays is NOT black metal. Absolutely terrible. And i also noticed it looks like he is trying to be some tough guy bs just by seeing him on a few late night talk shows, Conan, etc.

marilyn manson doesn't call his music black metal or anything and it isn't. he calls it rock.

he's worn the makeup and stuff for like 10 years or so. i don't know much about black metal bands and how long they've been around, but he's been around for quite a while and is best known for that look and stuff, but really, his style changes with each album.

mechanical animals had music that was sadder and less agressive than Antichrist superstar and has the omega alias

holy wood is well, hard to explain

golden age of grotesque is pretty arsty and 1930's industrial germany-like

i don't quite agree with everything everyone is saying, he doesn't seem to be doing all that stuff too much, i have seen him on conan o'brien (he put lipstick on conan) and on jay lenno (talked about his dad and stuff)

MTV does seem to like him a lot, he always wins in celebrity death match, he's won about 4 or so matches that i can remember.

He used to get bullied at school and went to a christian school, he hated it. he had to be jesus in a play and got his lions cloth pulled off him back stage and was chased around being whipped by it and stuff.

anton la vay made him a reverend of the satanic church before he died. but he didn't ask to be or anything and he didn't really want to be either.

also, marilyn manson was going to play willy wonka, but then because johnny depp is now so fashionable to have in movies, they made him be a choice also, manson let depp do it though.
