	If you're old school then you listen to Whodini right? I think that Don't Sweat The Technique was much better. Rakim's voice was stronger, lyrics were better, and the song topics were more diverse.

	If you are looking on youtube, you won't find it there. Get the album Paid in Full. That song is on there.

	Since you've all been kicking up such a fuss about this fellow, I decided to give him a listen. First, I listened to: 'When I B on the Mic' Which umm, well considering what you've been saying, I wasted that impressed, the lyrics seem to mainly about how great at rhymes he is, it didn't sound too good either really, so I didn't really like that one. Using Youtube as a principle source for this, I couldn't find much, so the next song I got a song called 'Paid in Full' by the Rakim and some chap called Eric.B . And once again he mainly raps in unimpressive rhymes, the most elaborate of which was 'presidents' and 'residence' but that wasn't really original, I liked the beat a bit more, but it still wasn't fabulous. I noticed some wit by refferring to dollars as 'dead presidents' but then spelt it out by immediately saying 'I need money' after. All in all, I wasn't too impressed. Next this Eric.B fellow cropped up again, this time in a song called 'I ain't no joke' in the video of which , Rakim appears to think he's Mr.T. Anyway, it had a very generic beat, and once again, it appaears to be written about how fabulous Rakim is in comparison to everyon else. Though, I thought some of the writing was quite good in this song for example "I hold the microphone like a grudge B'll hold the record so the needle don't budge" Generally though, this guy isn't for me, I'll stick to Kanye West and Jay-Z -------------------

	Edumacation: Microphone Fiend Don't Sweat the Technique Rakim is, without a doubt, one of the best of all time. He's one of the few MC's that you can listen to over and over, without ever getting tired of them. It's required listening for all those who wish to be true Hip-Hop aficionados. Haha, I said "aficionados." Forte, the track you listened to was by Rakim y Ken-Y, not this Rakim.

	I don't listen to a lot of Rakim (I should though) but SIS_Wolfhound, it is quite true that pretty much most of what Rakim spits about is how he's better than most of the rap game out there. What's really amazing about it though is his presentation, which is clearly emulated through other rappers who may rap about other subjects.
