Cradle Of Filth - Page 25

Can't remember if I've ever posted in this thread before, but I may have earlier on. Nymphetamine is okay, the girl has a very nice voice, but the chorus part could be better. Still a song I like listening to now and then. Mannequin is my personal favorite Cradle of Filth song, but I haven't heard as much of their songs as others have. I've mainly just heard the ones I've seen in music videos in a local metal video show here in Tampa Bay. These guys do a great job with the formulas for their songs and how they're set up, which is something I look for in metal bands.

Oh man. Temptation sucked hard. I now frown upon girl singers after hearing that.

Actually, a Cradle Of Filth fan sent me 4 other tracks from their album, Thornography, and I did not like them one bit. In fact, those four have discouraged me from even bothering to wait for Thornography, and pretty much all new albums unless they come from real favourite bands like Rise Against or In Flames.


Forget Thornography, I'm sticking with Cradle Of Filth's older stuff, which was before they sucked.

I have full intentions of buying Thornography, I heard Dirge Inferno from it and I liked it. I've kind of been put off the older stuff due to poor quality MP3s, but I'm making the effort to find some.
I suppose now you're all going to rip my head off for such heresy. But you have to remember, bands evolve and change and you can't control it so I guess we see who the real fans are then.

Exactly. The recent surge of people who have never even heard of black metal wearing CoF shirts after the release of Nymphetamine is testament to the fact. They obviously just changed their sound for the popularity.
