The singer has been charged with possession and distribution of indecent images of children, and he has also been charged with conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a female under the age of 13. Watkins will face Cardiff Crown Court today (Wednesday, December 19, 2012). Two women aged 20 and 24 from Doncaster and Bedford may also face similar charges in the investigation. Senior Investigating Officer Peter Doyle said: "Specially trained staff are available to speak to anyone with concerns or information regarding this investigation and a dedicated telephone number has been set up. "I want to encourage anyone who has any concerns or information which they think may be relevant to contact us. Safeguarding children involved in such cases is always a high priority and as such, measures have already been taken." The band has sold over 3.5 million albums worldwide and their fifth studio album, 'Weapons,' reached number nine on the UK album chart this year. "Watkins is also alleged to have conspired to rape a one-year-old girl with another woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons" The band's most recent statement. quote 'Following charges made today against Ian Watkins, we find ourselves in a state of shock. 	You forgot the extreme animal porn. I don't see how they can charge him with possession and release his name unless they're 99% sure he's guilty. Pretty crazy, completely sickening as well. 	Once charged with a criminal offence, a person's name is nearly always released. There obviously are some exceptions (children etc.) but for the majority of the time they'll be released whether they are ultimately found guilty or not.

When it's put like that it makes it more likely that they have hard evidence against Ian but not so much if any for the other two. I did think when he was outed by the Police that they wouldn't have done it for a crime like this if they had a doubt about his guilt.
