They basically made a thread where people posted their favourite artists and their defining songs in their opinion, the best choices and favourite acts were upvoted and someone made a playlist of most of the suggestions. For me at least, it's full of those 'Bands You Never Got Around To' like Sufjan Stevens, Deftones, Rush and Silversun Pickups, so it's a nice playlist to leave on and see what catches my attention anyway ------------------- <3 Natman Something in my throat made my next words shake...

Friend of mine loves Pavement and reckons they're the best thing since sliced bread, but I've never listened. How the hell have you never checked out Silversun Pickups?

	this Chrono I was originally skeptical because new school thrash metal just doesn't have the same bite old school thrash does and - outside of Vektor - it just tends to bore me, but I dunno, I've just been digging this album a lot lately. 	Cheers for the recommendation, Lukas! I liked the first song but it went downhill from there. I just can't get into new-school thrash either; vocals are usually very poor and the songs are just cliche-ridden. It doesn't help I suppose that most new thrash is closer to Slayer than Metallica - I'm not a huge Slayer fan, and I've always preferred their more groove-orientated material (South of Heaven, Seasons in the Abyss) to the bazillion bpm of Reign In Blood. Speaking of thrash, I went to see Mission to Lars last night. Very heartwarming documentary, intelligently filmed and respectful to all involved. Metallica and Lars in particular came across very well indeed. All profits go to Mencap too so well worth a watch. ------------------- *~Celebrating 10 Years on Neoseeker~*
