I would like to think that Have A Nice Life's Deathconsciousness is going to be somewhere there in the mix too, but the world is simply not ready.

Not really, I think Funeral is by far their best work. Everything else they have produced afterwards is very average. No idea how people can listen to The Suburbs in full tho. It is an album about how a conventional western, suburbian, white collar, life is. The whole concept is irksome to me, as it is basically praising mediocrity, which is kinda ironic if you actually look at the reviews it got.

Hmm from that list, Boris' Pink is pretty damn cool. It combines rock with a bit of craziness that the band is known for, i.e drone, and noise. Electric Wizard is not very offensive to the ear, just stoner rock with loads of distortion.

Took me a while to get into that album, that being my first of theirs. But after like 4 listens it suddenly stuck to me. It just has so many different layers, and the weirdness that I first took as being annoying kinda creeps into your head. Got addicted to My Girls song, like crack tho. The whole album is the soundtrack of my final year in Uni. (Playing Fallout 3 with it on, instead of doing my dissertation coding)

Seriously, Crack the Skye is insanely good.

No one cares that Crack the Skye is good, you silly hipsters. Your opinions don't matter, Leviathan is already a classic. It is way more about the history of the band and their influence on the modern metal genre, multiple bands that followed in the same footsteps afterwards. There is a reason why it is revered so highly by the original fans, critics and by the musicians themselves. It is the album that defined the band as one of the front men of today's heavy metal. Combing their hardcore roots with their progressive metal nature. It has memorable riffs, incredible drumming, and a concept (Moby Dick mother*bleep*ers) that wasn't thought up by a monkey on an LSD.
