That's interesting Andrei. I too was pretty disappointed with the album as a whole after an initial couple of listens back in January. Coming back to it last month though I was won over by Norway, 10 Mile Stereo and my personal highlight: Zebra Beyond those three I have to admit I find the album quite a tiresome listen unless of course it's background accompaniment to a lazy train journey in which case it does the trick. Zebra on the other hand is a gorgeous track that deserves as much attention as you can give it:

That's a beautiful shirt, there's certainly no denying that. I'm not even a huge fan of the band myself and I seriously considered picking one up. You know, the one qualm I had with their performance (which was admittedly the first and only time I've listened to a number of their songs in succession in one sitting) is that their music all started to sound the same after the fourth of fifth different song; there didn't seem to be any distinct variety to it. Perhaps it was my impatience getting the better of me considering Band of Horses were scheduled to come on-stage next, but I found their set to drag on particularly long with not much keeping it fresh and exciting. Of course, that's not to say the music wasn't enjoyable. Even though it dragged on it was certainly worth the listen, and their material was definitely better than a lot of releases from this year, but at the same time there was really no "hook" for me, nothing that sucked me in to make any specific song particularly memorable. In all fairness I still have to give the album a full play-through, it may end up sounding much better through the studio version.

10 Mile Stereo is a beautiful song.

Okay so after downloading Teen Dream a few weeks ago, I decided to check this thread. I noticed you guys all raved over 10 Mile Stereo and thought "WTF this track is only 2 seconds long." Something must've happened while my 10 Mile Stereo was downloading because it's only 2 seconds in length... I always assumed it was just an interlude track.

But Teen Dream is the shit regardless.

Randomly listened to Teen Dream on the morning commute today. Get home and whaddayaknow...
