Yeah man, Victory is a great song, I love the solos in it too. It's quite a cleverly written song.
IN related news, Megadeth have already gone back into the studio for a bit I think, which is pretty cool, might mean a new album at the end of this year.

Yup, it's a very good read. Dave is refreshingly honest throughout, although it really is quite incredible that he still hasn't gotten over Metallica, even after all these years.

The downside of it is that he totally skips over massive chunks of his late career. As in he skips straight from Risk to System (leaving out World Needs A Hero), and then skips straight from System to Endgame, so we never hear anything about United Abominations. Nobody is asking for him to write a whole chapter on them, but a concilatory paragraph would have been enough. He obviously must not be too proud of those albums to completely ignore them...

It could of been that part of his career really wasn't worth talking about or might of just been boring as hell to read. United Abominations was solid and had a solid tour to follow, plus the only album Dave has ever came out to say he dislikes is Risk. All I know that was noteworthy in that space of time was Daves formation of Gigantour which disappointed me because it had not been included at all. Still, it's an awesome book.

Changing the topic, did anyone buy the Rust In Peace album on Rock Band? I did, and it's is mindblowing. Basically every riff is impossible (especially start of Take No Prisoners), and then you have the 8 solos in Hangar 18. Totally insane.

And you judge a band based on 1 track? Theres many bands that I think are mostly pretty bad or sub=par but they have 1 or two good songs. I wouldnt judge a band based on just one song.

I prefer metallica to Megadeth, but its only because ive listened to all their music. Not to say I dont like megadeth, but just saying, you should listen to more of their stuff before judging.

This is an amazing band until Dave Mustaine opens his mouth. The dude cannot sing.

Luckily there's plenty of long drawn out purely instrumental sections devoid of any vocals which is where Megadeth shines.

A death metal vocalist does exactly what he aims to do, and if he's good, he does it well. Which is to sound brutal and/or completely *bleep*ed up. It fits the tone of the music. What doesn't fit is the awesome blistering almost proggy riffs suddenly being interrupted by someone who sounds like a toad croaking.

Don't mistake my dislike for Dave Mustaine's terrible vocals for dislike of the band taker, because as I stated, I really like Megadeth. In fact, if anyone could be so kind as to recommend me a decent album, I think its time I added some to my library.
