The Medal of Honor trailer isn't the full song. It's highly edited. The track length for The Catalyst is 5:42, which has been confirmed by multiple sources, including Warner.

And no, Meteora is their worst album, even worse than Reanimation. Only a few good songs came from that. Reason being is that album was so forced because they wanted to make another successful album like Hybrid Theory. Meteora was way over produced, had even worse lyrics than Hybrid Theory (heel/feel/real? come on now) and it was made toward some teenage angst crap that no one gives a shit about anymore.

If you listen deeply to that album, you'll laugh like I do. Lying From You, From the Inside, Faint, and Breaking the Habit were the only refreshing songs they wrote. Everything else was trying to be like a song from Hybrid Theory.

Hybrid Theory is still their best album, but Minutes to Midnight comes second, and I'm confident A Thousand Suns will rank just as high. And just because I have an opinion and like their newer stuff over their older stuff now doesn't mean I'm not a true Linkin Park fan. If you think that, then you're a jackass.

I liked Shadow of the Day.

I also liked Meteora, thought M2M was a pretty classy album, was a huge fan of Reanimation, loved Hybrid Theory, and think A Thousand Suns will be their biggest album yet. Do I think it'll be big because of its amazingness? No. I think it'll be big because their fan base has been overcome by the mainstream crowd and is far larger than its ever been. I wouldn't be surprised if The Catalyst hit #1 on the Billboard tbh, I really hope it does too. LP really deserve something like this after all the years of effort they've put in imo.

You give mainstream audience too little credit, they are not as stupid as your every day LP fan. Just look at this insult to human evolution.

It sounds good, Most of the people criticizing their new style just want them to thrash on the guitar for 3 mins(LPs old guitar riffs are very simple) while Chester screams down the mic and mike raps a few lines. Its good for them to try out new styles then and again. Looking forward to seeing what else is on the album.

Hey that was like the one of the few decent songs on their last album and I quite liked it.

Anyway, this song is kinda meh. Better than I thought, but its really techy and a bit more than I wouldve preferred. If this ends up being the worst song on the album Ill be pretty happy though, sadly I doubt this would be the case. I do like the piano for the end of the song. A more somber way to end. But still meh
