I only just decided to check these guys out (now that they've not gotten best artist of 09).

I must say, it's all fun stuff. Very palatable too, I'm only so many songs into the album but absolutely every song sounds like it could be a single.

I'll definitely be blasting this through my mediocre laptop speakers during lackluster art classes.

P.S: The Big Pink and Fever Ray are next on my list.

Thank god I ran across them in the album contest. I heard Sleepyhead and it immediately put a smile across my face. I bought the album first on my list, and I must say, I'm very impressed.

Standout Songs- Sleepyhead, The Reeling, Moth Wings, Swimming in the Flood, Little Secrets, and Folds in Your Hands. They look great live as well.

I especially love describing them to people who've never heard of them. "Their like, MGMT on ecstasy after they've inhaled helium" or "MGMT crosses the Beegees"

One of my top three, scratch thath, top two albums of 2009. Can't decide between Manners and Merriwether Post Pavilion.

Not sure if you posted this elsewhere and I've already said so but I love what this guy's done with the song. Strikes a really nice balance between giving it a a really strong house feel without dominating the original vocals/tune.

Anyway, was actually bumping to alert people to the fact that the deluxe edition of Manners has just dropped. Aside from much improved album artwork it's got stripped down versions of Sleepyhead (which was doing the blog-rounds a few months back) and Moth's Wings as well as a sweet cover of The Cranberries' Dreams.
