Back on topic, though, I love how every band from the last five years that covers Pantera chooses Walk-- possibly due to the fact that its simplicity complements their musical ability?

Nothing wrong with Trivium.

Sure, Matt can't sing, but the background music is pretty good.

I'm not the one that said the covers are better than the original.

My opinion would be irrelevant if I liked the Fall Out Boy version as we can all agree that is the worst version going.

But seriously, if someone likes something you don't just accept it.

The Beat It cover has nothing on the original and I'll admit the instruments were good, but the singing was awful.

Thank god it is only a low quality video of them covering 'Walk'.

I don't think anyone would want to hear it properly.

But then again ... most Bohemian Rhapsody covers are awful.

I thought it was great. I expected some headbanging at the ending part but no.

EricF, Cancer Bats threw that song on at the end of Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones I guess as a tint to a more mainstream audience. I wouldn't knock them just for that song, though. A lot of their singles are original. And as much as it is similar to the original (being a cover, after all, and we all prefer a little innovation), it does have its own sort of charm that makes it a Cancer Bats style of cover. Heavier vocals, yes, but also the wah effects.

As for releasing it as a single, yeah I agree, it's capitalizing off others' originality. But then again you'd have to be unsatisfied by many releases including that of The Black Keys, The Doors, hell, Santana's Abraxas...or Landslide by The Smashing Pumpkins.

I actually used to like this cover, but after realising it's more or less the same as the original, it annoyed me more and more. All it's added from the original is a heavier vocal. Not only that, the band released it as a single, therefore making money off of an identical cover. Speaking of which, this disgusts me.[/div]

The song itself isn't amazing, but I think the music video for it makes up for that tbh really like it, especially the fat guy
