Kanye West's 'Glow in the Dark' Tour

Log in to remove this sponsored message Kanye West's Glow in the Dark Concert Featuring Rihanna, N.E.R.D., & Lupe Fiasco  Hey everyone, I just got home from Kanye West's Glow in the Dark concert and I have to say right off the bat that it is most likely the best concert I've been to see. Everything was just awesome, I will give you guys a quick run-down on each performance. Enjoy. Before I get into each performance I want to say the very few bad things that I encountered. »No cameras allowed, I was uninformed therefore the lady in the front took my very expensive camera battery. »The concert is about 5 hours long, this is not a complaint I think it would have been better with 1 less performer. Preferably Rihanna, seeing as how she is not in the group. »The long breaks between performances. I understand you have to set up and take down stages, but jeez. The break between Rihanna's set and Kanye's was going on 30 minutes. But then again, you cannot complain after you see his set. That's all the complaining I have so let's get started. Performances - In order of appearance. »Lupe Fiasco  I am a big Lupe Fiasco fan, so I am very bias with my opinion of his performing because I thought it was fantastic. However, I did not see the beginning 1-3 songs because of the camera issue in the front. He did a lot of his hit songs including Day Dreamin' and Go Go Gadget Flow. He had the guy who sings in Superstar and Fighers with him. Also the girl, who I believe was in Hip-Hop Saved My Life. So it was neat to see them. When he did Day Dreamin' the bass and intensity of the performance almost made me throw up, it was just freakin' amazing. He definitely lived up to my expectations with his performances. »N.E.R.D.  I will be honest and say that I have never really liked N.E.R.D.'s style of music, the punk-rap type of vibe they have, but live they are really good. They got me into the music and everything even without knowing really any of their songs except that one about standing on a cop car haha. Their last song they brought up like 100 really nice looking ladies that really brought their set to a really nice close. »Rihanna  This was the second time I have seen Rihanna live. I was more impressed with her the first go-around mainly because she did a lot of the same things this time as she did with her solo-tour which was not too far back. She has that up-beat vibe that really makes you want to stand up and dance along. She takes you from 'Shut up and Drive' to 'Breaking Dishes', then back to 06' with 'Unfaithful'. »Kanye West  The star of the show! Let me say first off, his set is just amazing. A spaceship that floats and has a video screen on the floor and behind him, it is just really cool. The main storyline for Kanye is that he has left Earth to search for new inspiration because he has run out. We meet up with Kanye as he is starting to go back to earth and he runs into a whole lot of trouble and asks God for help and even shooting stars. He performs hit tracks from College Dropout, Late Registration, and of course, Graduation. His performing is just top-notch. The guy does not need hype men to get the crowd into it. He is up there by himself, no band no hype men to help him his energy alone can bring the stadium down. I was just basically, awestruck. He also performed 'Touch the Sky' which, of course, features Lupe Fiasco so that was really neat to see the hype energy between them both performing the song. Be sure to go see Kanye to see if he makes it home or not. WAKE UP MR. WEST! So overall, it was an amazing experience that I would do again any day. Like I said, my favorite concert I've been to by far, and with a few minor adjustments could have even been better. -------------------  | |
