I did find this boss a hard one to beat as I think only Axel had enough skills to beat himself, I did try Blaze but I could beat him, I tried Skate but still couldn't beat him and I tried Dr. Zeng, he lasted longer than the other but still didn't make.

Then I tried it with Axel and I beat him, it took a long time (or it seemed like it) but I managed to defeat Axel's Clone, did anyone find this boss hard?

Ya he was pretty difficult. I hate it when he speeds up at the end. I found a good way to get out of his uppercut, was to do Axels punch flurry power attack.

Axel's clone does moves even Axel himself couldn't do, the clone could do a Bare knuckle combo while strafing up or down, Axel can only do it in a straight line.

Plus, when the clone goes red (coz it's on it's last health bar) it's speed and power increases, damn that is annoying, if you had a 3 star bare knuckle combo, then that wouldn't be a problem.

Yes, I would agree, this boss is definately one of the harder bosses in the game. His speed was a big problem for me, I just couldn't catch up with him, he would always be too fast for me, and attack me somehow. When I was Axel and my brother or friend was somebody else, we would always find the boss going after Axel. When my brother attacked him with Skate, he would knock Skate out of the way, and go straight after Axel, that was strange.

The only character that is best for Axel's clone is Axel himself, since them two have the same stats (other than speed) and the same moves (Except Axel's clone can alter the move a bit).

I only discovered the other day that this game is a 6 button game. I find the Y button kick is pretty good against him.

You mean that it CAN be a 6 button game, it can still work on a 4 button controller, but 6 buttons are better than 4.

You can also do a 3 star combo without having the 3 stars, that would have been handy when I was struggling.

Axel's level 3 bare knuckle combo is very powerful, useful against most bosses and also Axel's fast multi-punch combo is handy aswell.

The Axel clone isn't too hard, I had him after two times facing him. I fought him with Blaze.

Axel's clone is only easy when you are Axel himself as they are the same, when you are any other character, he will be no push-over, you will have to lose at least one continue to beat Axel's clone, but not if you are Axel, I lost about 3/4 of my health as Axel before beating the clone.

i beat him easily the first time with 2/3 my health by using the "play as the kangeroo" cheat! I forget the first (cheating) way to do this, but remember the other way. first get to the evil kangeroo and kill his friend, without even touching him, next die and when you restar keep cycling through at the character select screen until he appears, he is very strong and decently fast but cant grapple well or pick up weapons (no oposable thumbs i suppose )but i think if max from sor 2 was in this game he'd beat him easy

Axel's clone was a bitch of a boss to beat. I struggled immensely while fighting him. I lost plenty of lives while trying to beat this guy and figure out his attack patterns.

Yeah, as I said before Axel's Clone was one of the hardest bosses in the game, but the only person that I could use to beat Axel's Clone was Axel himself, Shiva has a good chance of beating him in my view.

I actually beat him most easily with Shiva out of everyone I tried, Axel was my second best. The first time I fought him it was a bit of an eye opener when he was doing all these new moves when I only expected him to have Axel's moves an no extra ones.
