The game draws 2 random numbers and averages them. The numbers drawn are between 0 and 99, inclusive. If the average is below the hit rate then the attack hits, otherwise misses. 	IP is right as usual. We're quite lucky in this game to have two numbers drawn and then averaged in this game. In some earlier FE games, you only had one drawn. Things got really random then! -------------------

	What the hell are you all talking about? IP is on the right track, with the averaging 2 numbers, but hit rates are different than what it looks like. Example? If the hit rate shows "90", the actual hit is 98. Meaning if the number is higher than 98, it misses. Not 90. The only 3 that don't follow are 0, 50, and 100.

	Not exactly. Averaging 2 numbers means there are 10,000 possible number combinations instead of 100. To miss, the averaged value of the 2 RNs must be lower than 1. In other words, the total value of the 2 RNs must be lower than 1 + 1 = 2. There are 100 RNs, so the total possible number of combinations is 100 x 100 = 10,000. Thus, the case of hitting is 3 out of a possible 10,000 cases, with the other 9,997 cases resulting in a miss. This means the probability of hitting is 3 / 10,000 (%) = 0.03%. So, while the Hit value displayed in the game is 1. The actual chance to hit is 0.03%. So in the example of yours, the average would still have to be below 90. 	Would it have been too much work for the developers to show us what the real hit is when we decide to attack an enemy?
