I have pretty much no background in film, but I have to say that Timothy and the World of Tomorrow was actually pretty interesting. I liked how you were able to characterize everyone in such a short amount of time. However, the mother did seem a bit unrealistic to me, probably because I have never met anyone like that, and you had to make her like that to characterize her more quickly. The cinematography I felt was effective and professional, and all of the characters except the mother seemed like real people. The music was also good; it added instead of distracting.

I can't yet watch your latest film because my speakers are off and there's a bud sleeping, but in my early morning wake up I thought I'd drop some discussion. As far as filmmaking goes, scriptwriting was the first thing that actually interested me, though I've never actually done it haha. I've generally always been a pretty decent writer and fiction appeals to me much more than journalism or anything, and script-writing seems a field I should really start at least experimenting in. I have two real films of inspiration: Fight Club, for a wandering, charming script, and 28 Days Later; lots of people don't really appreciate the film as much as I do, but pretty much every other shot in that film makes me want to cream myself, so that's where a lot of cinematography experimentation comes from.

Of actual filming experience, I was taking Media at post-secondary education and part of the coursework entailed filming an introduction to a film in the thriller genre. In the end, someone other than me edited (I was the director, shouldn't be greedy) without any consultation with the rest of the group, and it completely skewered the narrative I had in mind. I'm really just picking straws though because it was a dreadful film and nobody's editing could have saved it! I won't drop it off now, I'll do so another time (maybe!), but despite a terrible end product I got a lot of praise for my cinematography, which was nice anyway.

So you might have caught a couple of glimpses of it in my film, but I'm an aspiring visual effects artist, and hope that someday it will inform my directing, in the same respect as it does with Peter Jackson or Guillermo Del Toro and their films. In visual effects, your bread and butter for getting a position is your demo reel. I hope to start shooting mine soon, and you guys will be among the first to see the fruits of my labor! Cool!

I'd imagine this is the correct place.
When I upload videos to Youtube, a 14 minute video take about 80 minutes. Is there a way to reduce how long it takes?
I'd imagine, lowering the quality of it. But, I don't know how to do that on iMovie '09.
