I think this type of thread could cover a wide variety of music-related topics. Stuff like issues with today's music, and just genre, artist, and song related discussions in general. not to be confused with the "what are you listening to?" thread by he way. =p

well to start this thread off, what genres of music do you guys like and what bands?

Rock and Alternative Music. Right now I'm digging Fuel; some songs are Falls On Me and Forever. Other bands are Nickelback, Lifehouse, and Default.

Alternative rock is fun. some of my favorites at the moment is Vacuum Bag by Stroke 9 and a handful of songs from 3 Doors Down. Post-grunge/grunge is also great, like Eve 6 ('anytime' is my favorite from them).

I listen to a lot of indie, folk, ambient, hardcore, and metal. The radio is pretty much the graveyard of music.
