The opening scene of the latest Batman: Arkham Knight trailer features a much more imposing Scarecrow acting out a scene directly taken from a Freddy Kruegar film. I'm not entirely sure if that's cool due to the horror throwback, or ridiculous since Scarecrow's trying to be intimidating and all. Anyone Scarecrow's got these fancy claws, but more than that he's got a plan to bring true terror to all of Gotham. Batman, in turn, says he's "Evening the Odds" which just happens to be the trailer title. Enter the Batmobile.
Yus, today's Batman: Arkham Knight trailer introduces the Batmobile and some of the fancy mechanics players will get to see used in-game with the car/tank/spaceship. Those features include: driving, braking, ejecting and flying off into the knight, driving on walls that are clearly identifiable as drive-able walls, and also rockets. Personally, my favorite Batmobile feature would be if you could just play the entire game as the Batmobile. Like, as a new Batman skin. I won't get my hopes up.
There's also a good showing of some of the more prominent Batman game villains in the Arkham series. There's Scarecrow, the titular Arkham Knight whose identity continues to be a mystery for at least a little while longer, and then Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum -- Two Face and the Penguin. While Scarecrow likely sets off the events that lead to the huge mess that is Arkham Knight, it seems like only the Arkham Knight himself appears to be truly threatening to Bats. Time will tell, of course.
