Euro Super League by DynamiteFC

Superleague Info:

Based off of the Scottish league, there are 4 divisions: Premier, Platinum, Gold and Silver, with 12, 10, 10, and 10 teams in each, respectively.

The reputation of the league has been raised along with the coefficients, making the Euro league the preferred destination for the world's stars.

League reputations of England, Germany, Holland, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece and more have been slightly lowered, and most of the Scottish teams that
replaced the super teams were put into the lower divisions.

All award names have been changed, all (Scottish)competition history cleared to start anew.

All of eastern Europe/Russia have been added as EEC nations.

Champions League and UEFA Cup still exist, the top sides in the Premier League/Cup winners get the chance for the big pay-day.

Scottish league's bottom division is "closed" meaning no relegation/promotion of non-league minnows after the season.

Team List:

Premier: Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, FC Bayern, Inter, Juventus, Manchester United, Milan, Monaco, Porto, Real Madrid, Valencia

Platinum: Ajax, Celtic, Deportivo, Dortmund, Leverkusen, Liverpool, Lyon, Marseille, PSV, Roma

Gold: Benfica, Dinamo Kiev, Fenerbahce, Lazio, Olympiakos, Paris St. Germain, Real Sociedad, Schalke 04, Sevilla, Werder Bremen

Silver: CSKA Moscow, Feyenoord, Newcastle, Panathinaikos, Rosenborg, Shakhtar, Sporting, Udinese, Vfb Stuttgart, Zaragoza. - Download 45.3mb

Logos for the competition can be downloaded here. 124kb

• Guides

EDT and DDT files – The Guide
quote Matt Jones @ SI Forums.
Here is a guide to using EDT and DDT files within FM 2005.

It is what SI has told me and is, therefore, official. If you have any questions regarding these files afterwards, I will do my best to help. With thanks to Keith Flannery for his reply.
  1. EDT files
The two EDT commands that have been tested and are supported for CM 03/04 are:

    “SWAP_TEAMS” and “BOOST_TEAM”

The following is an example of what the contents of an EDT file look like:

    "SWAP_TEAMS" "Wolves" "Celtic"
    "SWAP_TEAMS" "Bolton" "Rangers"
    "BOOST_TEAM" "Celtic" 12000000 5000 22000
    "BOOST_TEAM" "Rangers" 15000000 6000 35000

"SWAP_TEAMS" "Wolves" "Celtic" - used to put Celtic in the Premiership and Wolves into the Scottish Premier League.

"BOOST_TEAM" "Watford" 20000000 7000 40000 = will set Watford's transfer budget to £20,000,000, change their reputation to 7,000 (max = 10,000), increase attendance at games to around 40,000 (If stadium capacity permits).

    Possible Issues:

The "BOOST_TEAM" command does not adjust the teams wage budget at the moment.

This feature has only been tested on certain leagues, so it's a case of try it and see.

If you are bringing a team from an unselected league into a selected league then some of the lesser players will probably be missing from their squad.

  2. DDT files
The two DDT commands that have been tested and are supported for CM 03/04 are:

    “RETAIN_PLAYERS” and “RETAIN_NATION_PLAYERS”

The following is an example of what the contents of a DDT file look like:

    "RETAIN_PLAYERS" "Celtic"
    "RETAIN_PLAYERS" "Rangers"
    "RETAIN_NATION_PLAYERS" "China PR"

"RETAIN_PLAYERS" "Celtic" = will retain all of Celtics’ players upon starting a new game – if you put the old firm into the Premiership, you must make a file like this to ensure that they have full squads.

"RETAIN_NATION_PLAYERS" "China PR" = will retain all players with a nationality of China PR.

  3. Other Commands
The other EDT and DDT commands are redundant in terms of use for the game and therefore haven’t been tested for either CM4 or CM 03-04. However, SI has made a decision not to disable their use in the game, but their use is at the users’ discretion.

  4. How do I make them and where do they go?
EDT and DDT files are created in notepad. When you go into notepad, and have finished typing in your commands, click File. Then, click Save. In the dialog box that appears, select “All Files” for the file type (this option is near the bottom). Then, type in whateveryouwant.edt or whateveryouwant.ddt (obviously changing “whateveryouwant” to something more memorable).

Save them in the “C: \Program Files\Eidos\CM 03-04\data\db” directory (where “C: \” is the letter of your hard drive).
The only thing that the check boxes on the preferences screen do is to rename the file within the directory mentioned above from *.edt to *.edd and from *.ddt to *.ddd to effectively disable them from being read by the game upon starting a new game.

If you mean a patch to fix the bugs, then I am afraid that there isn't one yet. SI is preparing one, and when it is released, we will post a link.

ive downloaded the CMEuphoria update which must have been done by a chelsea supporter methinks not that im complaining...robben has ability 175, potential 200...robinho is on his way to chelsea for a measly 1.3M pre-arranged
i might have to tinker i the editor to fix it up...gallas still needs to be added as DRLC, not just DRC and robben and duff need to have better positional stats for playing upfront...at least they got the mutu ban right...

This thread is an excellent idea, X! I went to the SI website to find some info on the patch, and also wondering about facepacks. Not much help there, and to have everything in one spot/thread makes it much easier.

    re: FM Downloads

Thanks, Gerrard! Slightly off topic, but I have been holding off getting the game until it was released in the USA and also until after the first patch was released (maybe that will happen on the USA version?).

Since it is Christmas, thinking of getting it anyway, and the links save me A LOT of running about (figuratively) from website to website hunting everything down to make FM2005 more playable. I am currently in year 6 on CM 03/04 with Celtic, and getting slightly ticked with my Asst Man being thiefed by other squads (I have lost 6 in the last 2 years). Ready for the new game.
