Ahh, yes. The blissful hours spent on my crappy old windows computer playing Sega Smash Pack 2, complete with an original port of Shining Force. From the screens I've seen, we're going to be blessed with enhanced graphics, but I haven't seen much else than that. Strangely enough, it isn't the first in the series. The first game was called "Shining in the Darkness," and came out for the Sega Genesis in '91 I believe. I don't think the plots have anything to do with each other, (except the enemies are both named Darksol,) and the game resembled a dungeon crawler like "Phantasy Star" rather than a turn-based strategy. | |

Dude, this is SWEET! I still own the original shining force and shining force 2 for the Genisis. And the graphics really do look good from the screenshots i've seen. -------------------  May Chaos break the rules that bind. | |

It should be out any day now. I've read that it should be released early in June. Games generally are released on Tuesdays, but don't make it to retailers until Wednesday. (I'm pretty sure.) | |

I used to love Shining Force for Sega. Except I playd it so much the battery went dead. I was depressed for years because I could not find another copy. lol. I cant wait to get it , I had the shining force on sega smash pack 2 and it was the best game on their, the game play was a little repetitive, but now with nintendo they can do wonders | |
