I have beaten all "Wu Wan", "Nan Man", "Qiang", "Shan Yue" and "Wo" all in one weekend. I built a fort nearby the foriegn barbarians. I got a STONE LAUNCHER(12 TP)(one of your generals in the troop must have this Tactic) then drive it to the hilltop and throw the stones into the foreign castle.

If you attack a castle, and its strength fall to ZERO, regardless how many troopers are inside there, you beat the barbarians and all their troopers inside the castle suddenly become yours.

oh yeah i almost forgot, I already beat beat yuan shao so I almost have all of his officers with me. I had around probably 50+ officers when i attached Mu Wan

another way, yet deloyal is to put them in an amical state and build a camp really near them (sorry I dont know the location) or even two. then you take your general put all of them with confuse and rams

If the city is confused at the end of the active fase, they wont be able to make a sortie AND there is NO retaliation from the sentries!

BUT if you win you better discard some troops cuz your goign to have like 370 000 troops and if you, Lord Machao play as gong gun zan you'll only own the He bei region so keep about 200 000 troops and you'll have a powerfull advance force to take out Cao Cao/Yuan Shu/Dong Zhuo or who ever prevailed in the central plains while you were working

And dont fell FORCED to betray them
Just lure them to Ji and while they are over there build your compunds/ forts then remove your mens from there, cuz they'll be going out for them next time

Then Re-occupy Ji and while they are out, SAVE, March your white riders with the tactic rally witch whill save you the time to drill and next, well you know the drill...

An easier way to get a tribe down
Nanman--- The foot training--LiuBei, King of Han Zhong
take 80 000 mens at Yun Nan
Send Guan yu,Zhang Fei,WeiYan, ect and use foot tactics

Dont take all you good generals!
Keep zhao yun, Ma dai and ma chao in Jing for a good calvalry combo and keep Huang Zhong in Han Zhong with Yan Yan and the 2 Zhang Yis
Try to recupperate relations with Sun Quan ASAP cuz you dont want to loose Jiang Ling and have to face them near Yi front!
f you prevail enough against nanman you should get more troops then you loose(with the injured soldiers you captured)or stay around 80 000 (I ended up getting 100 000 mens! ) when you see that they stop attacking take back Jian ning and they'll probably come out.
Build a compound near nanman and Jianning and prepare your final assault on them barbarians.

Pretty the same for the Shan Yues
Harder for the Qiangs-- the battle of Chibi
If you do like me and like o start from scratch with liu Bei, around 212, if you follow the 3 kingdoms strategy, you should have the formation of Liu Bei king of Han Zhong
With more or less in Jing because of Sun Quan And ma teng should still be alive and maybe he got himself Chang An
You can suport him from Xin Ye ( dont take Wan or Xu Chang cuz Its better to be placed like that to fend off an offensive) so from Han Zhong you can build camps and approach the qiang tribe around Tian Shui, you can start to fight them, Save before you encounter cuz Onslaught hurts a LOT, you can try to train a cavalry here instead but its easer with footmen.

The advantage with Wo is that they wint appear unless you search for them, so prepare your navies and travel from Qua(Wu) to Xiang Ping and while they are near a quarter done, search in Xia Pi' adjacent'S terrytory (Lang Xie I think)
Tehn, Converge all the navies to the empty Wo Port and since they are SO close to the city just send out lots of rams at the same time and SHOOING! you WIN!

Easy way to beat Tribes. Create your own generals up to (100), Give groups different military skills, specificaly 4Onslaught(wedge)/4Flying(wedge)/4Arrowstorm(sniper)/4Meele(lure)/1grp Magic(quick)/1grp Illusion(quick)/2grp Heal(defend) Heal will heal all armies in a certain radius. Each group has 5 members.

If you have appx 40k troops you can easily defend anything they throw at you, use 1 grousp Onsl x 15k & 1 Melee x 15k & 1 Heal x 10k. When you annihilate one of his troops you get to keep some of his wounded soldiers. Then your troops increase when you defend him. Once you've defended until he has only 100k he usualy slows his attack untill it gets back up. By this time you should be able to smoke him.

Attack with everything (by now you have enough sol) to use 2 Onsl x 15k each (wedge), 2 Melee x 15k each to intercept him from attacking your real weapons. Then for Endurance 1 Heal x 15k. Attack 2 x arrowstorm 15k each (Wing) 1 Magic 15k (quick). 1 Illusion x 15k (quick). Magic & Illusion do percentage dammages that leave alot of injured soldiers that you will claim when you take the city, and do severe dammage.

This has always worked for me, happy hunting.

all u have to do is dodge em... wen the fore tribe attacks jus march all the troops out of the castle,(Including officers)duznt matter where. they jux come over there and leave, then u march rie back.

What if you ask you ally to send a army to attack them while you too do that.
