Level 9 - Lost Levels

What happens if you've beaten level 8-4, but you used warps to get there? Can you still access level 9 if you go back and rebeat those levels in which you used warps? I myself did not know that I should not use warps until it was too late. In fact, I didn't know I used warps. Still, my game will not give me access to level 9. What should I do now?

re: Level 9 - Lost Levels

I beat all the worlds in Lost Levels, and then I got all the bonus worlds, which are 9-1 thru D-4. I'm don't remember if I used warps, but I don't think I did. I think that's only for world warps though, not regular pipes. I have Allstars + World. Which version do you have? Maybe in the regular version things are different or the extra worlds aren't there.

re: Level 9 - Lost Levels

After 8-4, the game will simply skip World 9 and take you straight to World A-1 if you use warps. I've done this before. There isn't a way to salvage your file once you use a warp. Here's the details:

(1) If you want to go to World 9, you are allowed to see the "Welcome to Warp Zone" screen with the warp pipes, but you can't enter the pipes. If you find yourself in a Warp Zone screen, just reset the game or let the timer run out or choose save and quit and start over on that level.

(2) Even after you gain access to World 9 on your file select screen for The Lost Levels you can lose it. Even after you play World 9 and have it saved on your file, if you decide to enter a warp zone by playing any other level, World 9 will delete itself from your save file.

(3) You can't replay the levels that you skipped and expect to see World 9 pop up. The game just doesn't want you to enter a Warp Zone, period.

PEOPLE!!! In Lost Levels worlds A<B<C<D are not secret! They happen automatically! They always come up! Only World 9 is a secret!

but world 9 is cool. There is a bowser at the end of every level!
