ok im in the same situation as most people BUT, after the game arts video (yes i can see it) the game crashes..., i tried multiple cracks, i have the whole cd2 in there, i renamed the .apx files, i dont think i got anything left =\ help i wana play D=

***sorry for my english
1. already copy video file from CD2
2. use crack
3. Install codec pack (k-lite should be ok)
4. window 98/me compatibility
5. download VIRTUALDUB(any version But i prefer 1.6.19) http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virtualdub/VirtualDub-1.6.19.zip?download

5. Install VIRTTAULDUB and OPEN PROGRAM
6. Go to FILE>>>OPEN VIDEO FILE(every video file on grandia2 folder must be recompress by this program but open 1 file a times )
7. after open file go to VIDEO>>>COMPRESSION click you will see window Select Video Compression then scroll down you will see ***Intel I.263 Video Driver 2.55.012 on left side just click
8. onthe right side after you select Intel I.263 Video Driver 2.55.012 you will see config button click again
9. there will be pop-up window you will see left side is scroll bar CHANGE Quality Bar to 100%
10. in the right side you will see many option Unmark every thing except (Advance Prediction Mode) and (Deblocking Filter) Click OK to Finish

11. Go to FILE>>>SAVE AS AVI... (In this case you must save same name as opened file but it's can not save then you should save it some where and overwrite it later in game folder)

12. do this to every video file in grandia folder (but some file might need some strange codec you can find it on internet)

13.after you finish all video file this game sould be work perfectly on WINDOW XP (Include Melinia ZAP and Fallen Wings Too)

hi .. this is my 1st time,i have been watching and even trying alot of things that have been suggested about grandia 2 pc..i formatted,changed file names,copied and pasted file contents and nothing worked,been trying it for days then 2 days ago after i formated i had 1 last try and still nothing,i got the logo and intro but still fallen wings and gravety wouldnt work so i messed about with it my self...i did a new install and copied what ppl said ie:VMS..UVMS..VISUAL tried it and still nothing soooo..i did the change the VISUAL to VISUAL2 then copied the visual into the drive folder BUT... i copied all the movies into the VISUAL2 folder with the intro and logo and deleted the folder called visual ( the 1 with no caps ) so in the VISUAL2 folder i now have the logo,intro and every movie part then deleted the 2 from the folder AND IT WORKS ,honestly i have been playing it and it works ...spells to hit all kinda hover for a second or 2 but it dos work hope some 1 tries it and it works for them too .ty for reading and gl ...

The DC version is the best. Ps2 extremly graphic problems I get a headattack whwn I play It:# and PC The Magic Videos Are too fast;( DC 4ever!!!!

1) I've already tried skipping with f9
2) I've already copied all the files from the G2CD2 in the corresponding directories, unless I'm missing some files from the installation process, I have all the files.
3) I have all the correct codecs.

The problem is that it freezes not after the intro screen, not during FMVs, but right after I double click the file. That is, it opens G2, but the screen stays black and nothing loads at all. I have to terminate the process with the task manager.

I'm using a No CD Crack, and I installed the files by mounting isos w/ Alcohol 120%.

Can someone post a number of files in each folder or a list of files in each directory up for me? Just to see if I have the right number of files in each directory.

Hey guys, I have the game installed fine with a no cd crack and it all works great except for one thing.
When I go to the menu to equip items and stuff I can't see which item is selected. There should be a green bar behind the text but it isn't there. I can still play the game but its annoying not knowing what i'm selecting. Does anyone know how to fix this??
I'm using winXP.
