new to guild wars

It could help if you told us your in-game name so players who see your thread could easily contact you. Are you just playing the original Guild Wars (Prophecies)? Or do you also have one or more of the other expansions as well (Factions, Nightfall or Eye Of The North)?

For the record, my in-game name is "Malibu Illusion" which you're free to add. I don't play much these days but I am occasionally online and I don't mind helping you out when I am or just chatting!

Have you decided on a class you'd like to play on your main yet? Or are you still trying things out?

Timballisto: Hmm, it depends where you are as to how many people are around. Some of the new EoTN areas are quite heavily populated, although the older areas tend not to be. The American districts by far seem the most active in comparison with Europe too.

Still, it can be pretty hard to find a group for stuff these days. When they added heroes in Nightfall a lot of people just stopped grouping with others and playing solo and I personally thought that was kinda a shame, although I see the reasons why they chose to do this. Unfortunately playing with AI tended to be a more preferable option than playing with other random players most of the time.

Timballisto: Yeah, as I said there's lots in the newer EoTN areas on the American side. The AI, particularly the customizable heroes you get from the Nightfall expansion, are really strong when set up correctly. If you're playing with the standard henchmen AI though yeah it can be pretty tough.

Most players these days are concentrating on working various title tracks in order to get achievement points for their Hall of Monuments. If you were unaware, essentially the more maximum titles you achieve the more points you earn which, in turn, will give you various items and benefits in the upcoming sequel: Guild Wars 2.

Oh, yeah that sucks. I think they introduced that within the last few years or so because I don't recall the character name thing being there until recently. Good luck with support; unfortunately they're somewhat notorious for their slow responses in relation to GW these days.
