Hey Guys,

How can we start a Guild Wars Forum revival?

I could try and get some of the guys i play Guild Wars with to post here.

Also im thinking about starting a Guild in game and hosting the Guild Thread here, are there any rules about this? Because surely a Guild Thread would bring people to the fourm? What do you guys think?

Yeah I think it's a good idea, really good game but really un-active forum these days, I'd probably be interested in joining the guild as well if experienced members joined.

A Neoseeker guild has been attempted before... it DIED.

Im not suggesting a Neoseeker guild Joseph, im suggesting that i create a guild in game and host the guild's thread here in the forum, would that be ok, or are there rules about hosting guild threads etc here?

Generally you're only allowed to do it IF you keep it to one thread, so that should be ok.

As for reviving the actual forum, i'd say to many people have moved on and there are to many established GW forums now, which people are more than happy to us. Since they are only for GW and have extra bits and pieces relating to the games.

What you basically need to keep this forum "alive" would be a small dedicated group of people that love to visit here and spend time together on the forum. It has worked with the Final Fantasy VIII Forum. The PPD there is around 30 and all kinds of small fun forum activities are organized to keep things going a bit.

However, as for GuildWars, I also used to be on this forum (You were Vince?), but eventually as Slayer stated used more established GuildWars forums or my Guild's forum.

Forum activities sounds like a more plausible idea than trying to form a guild in here. As you might have noticed, there's always 3 or 4 people lurking around here, just there's never anything to post about. Although, I don't think anyone would mind if you created a thread for your guild as long as the members were contributing to the GW forum. I've seen similar things in other forums.

Then there's that whole neoportal thing that everyone swears will get done but never will...

I tend to lurk here, but as Ghost said there's not a lot left to talk about (At least I feel that way).

I mainly check to see if anyone has asked any questions, that sort of thing.

I think if all the GW forums were merged that would help a lot as well, same could be said for a lot of forums at Neoseeker.

I would definitely join a Neoseeker guild. Considering people are active enough, it certainly wouldn't fail.
Who's going to start it up?

I'm poor as shit so I can't start it, but I'm all up for a guild if one gets going.

A Neoseeker guild has started and died at least two times before I think, it's not worth the effort. However, with the new Neo Wikis, I think it would be a pretty good idea to get a GW Wiki going considering the content it has. Then again, there is already 2 established ones. Any ideas to get the forum active is a good one mind, I just think the most of us have moved on.

Well, something that might get this forum some PPD would be an on-topic GD. Anyone think that'd be a good idea or would it probably just die?

I'm not interested for three main reasons:

1. I find GW pretty boring now since i've done everything I want to do several times over.

2. I'm in a small alliance with some close friends anyway.

3. I'm in the UK from what I understand most of you are American so we'd never see each other anyway.

Apart from Cele and Onion I can't think of any other UK players here, and Cele is already guilded with me. And both of them have moved on anyway.
