why didnt i see thsi review before? hmm, anyway, ive seen a few PCIe based drives that are significantly higher in value than this one. 300 bucks for 50 gigs is astounding. thats 6 bucks per gig!

I guess I have that confusion here, I thought there was another release of Revo Drive like Revo 2. Either way, does this support trim or is there any need for it or is that all handled with the algorithm for writing to the drive.

The SandForce controller has its own internal algorithms to clean up and find bad flash memory. It is part of their DuraWrite technology. This makes TRIM not as necessary as it is with other SSD controllers. TRIM does improve the performance of drives, but at the cost of high write amplification on drives that don't use the SandForce controller. So, there should be no issue with it not having official TRIM support.
